The One-Day-Early Let's-Do-It-Again thread - 11/4 da Spurs

There isn't a coach in the NBA that leaves a player in the game if he picks up his 2nd foul in the first quarter...

So, Quin can just let all the other coaches make the decisions for him. I guess this is obvious, but the only thing that happens when a guy fouls out is that he is replaced by another player. No different than any other substitution.

This is similar to football, when it's fourth down and we are told "you can't go for it on fourth down! it is too risky, you might turn it over on downs!" so, they punt... and turn it over on downs.

Spurs ain't **** tbh.

They'll probabaly have an overachieving regular season record again, and will not be in the WCF again.

This x100000000000.

Hayward going to prevent Leonard from freely dumping on our team. JJ does an admirable job of trying to guard him, but he either gives up open 3's or gets lost off the dribble trying to guard him.

Just insane how Leonard has transformed himself this year. He is basically doubling his FT rate from last season.

Green is out for them too, but I'd still take the Jazz at full strength easily.

Leonard is insane indeed. His offensive game is first class these days. MVP watch for him.

Green, the guy who was hot garbage last year? I'd say Hayward makes a much bigger difference than him though he does help their defense obviously.

I like how the Jazz matchup with pretty much every team these days. Big scoring wings with Hayward, Hood, and JJ, size and athleticism everywhere, and solid defenders at each level.

Go Jazz!

Looking forward to a competitive game and hopefully a win!

Welp. We didn't get either. Spurs are going to Spurs

The Jazz just couldn't overcome that 1st quarter. Oh well, not that I like it but they got the W in San Antonio. Honestly, 3-3 where 4 games are against teams that will probably be in the Top 5 isn't too bad. Hell, the Lakers may even be decent this year.

If they can go 3-2 on this road trip, then Hayward comes back, I think the Jazz will be sitting in a good position.

Tonight was an automatic loss after 2 minutes in. Pop called a timeout and yelled at the officials for 90% of it.
They called a win for San Antonio after it.
Snyder needs to get a few T's to stand up for his guys. He never does it. And he needs to.

I agree with this. I don't like to see a coach get Ts all the time, but for chrissakes get 7 or so a season.

Positives:
Exum - I saw him attacking more, grabbing a lot of rebounds, and looking more confident.
Hood - Had some sweet moves/shots early, and generally had a good overall game.
JJ - I thought he played a good game, and hit some tough shots early.

Negatives:
Withey - Granted he didnt play much, but he just doesnt bring much energy or anything to the game. His defense was disappointing.
Favors - Will he ever be healthy enough to dominate a season? He might be the odd man out when we make decisions who to keep out of our core.
Lyles - The Spurs ate him alive. His offense was off too. These are the types of games we'll get from a second year player.

Spurs just out played us. We really do lack an energy/hustle guy. We don't have a lot fire and passion on the team. Its the one thing
that worries me about trying to compete and be one of the NBAs best teams.

I think everyone is still feeling good heading into the road trip. Hoping for at least 3 wins.
