The reason Obama's citizenship is questioned

I know dems like to say the "birther" arguments are racist, but I don't think they really understand why.

The mainstream argument is that questioning Obama's citizenship people think he's not "one of us" or something like that.

I think it's really close to this:

He's a nigg.... Well we can't really just come out and say that.
He's black, for crying out loud. But we can't just come out and say that either.
He's an African jigaboo. We can't say that either.
He's an African American? No, we can't really say that.
He's an African! Winner!

So, are you saying it's rooted in racism? Because you first said that it wasn't rooted in racism, and then you made a long list of racism.

Not a black thing for me. Though I was never on the 'produce a birth cert' bandwagon anyway.

I suppose racism might have something to do with it.

I suppose there's a good amount of truth in that. The real redneck (racists) that I know hang their hats on that he's not black. So, therefore, we still ain't never had no daggum black man as are prezzydint.

So it has nothing to do with the time his mother spent overseas before and after he was born, the Indonesian elementary school he went to or his Kenyan father... it's all because we can't say African American? Brilliant.

Here I thought Salty was going to bring some insight into this. I was wrong.

For the record I not only believe Obama is a U.S. citizen I also wouldn't give half a **** if he didn't have a U.S. birth certificate. All his teenage and adult years were spent right here. He's not a sleeper agent. He's already been the president for 3.5 years, that ship has sailed.

I'm fairly certain had Obama not spent half his childhood in a foreign nation, this would have never been questioned.

McCain's citizenship was questioned during the last election cycle as well, last time I checked McCain isn't black.

IT was? Interesting. Thought he was born near the Panama Canal on some military base. And both his parents were Americans. Doesn't that count?

McCain did not endure anything even close to the birther movement. They are not equivalent.

The worst part is that even if Obama was born in Kenya, he's still a natural-born citizen by US law, from what I can tell.

Whatever, that's fine. I do not submit, however, to this idiotic premise that it is racially motivated. I mean the race card again, really? Haven't all those cards been dealt yet, or do the 'race baiters' still got some aces up their selves? Maybe they are playing with jokers.

Do you really think there would be court cases being brought if Obama had Romney's skin color?

Sigh...

Yes, because his mother was overseas before and after he was born, he spent his childhood in foreign countries and foreign schools AND HIS FATHER IS KENYAN.
