Have any of you watched this 3-part documentary by Ken Burns yet? It’s fantastic and quite timely. Not only am I learning new things but it’s just so relevant today. We can’t just live in our narrow tunnels, ignoring the plights of others. You can see where the hateful rhetoric from many political figures and pundits leads to just horrific outcomes.

Yes, watched it a couple of weeks ago. I had always been interested in the well attended meeting of American Nazis at MSG in 1939. The Academy Award nominated short film, “A Night at the Garden” involved that assembly. The Burn’s film on the Holocaust showed excerpts of that meeting that were not included in the short film.

On February 20, 1939, 20,000 American Nazis rallied at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event was billed as a "Pro-American" rally, but it championed Hitler and fascism.

Some good old anti-semitisim here from the Donald. Stuff again, you’d see in this documentary. Insinuating that Jews have dual loyalty or lack patriotism for America is just so old and has played out everywhere. Whether it’s on Donald’s social media account or belched out by demagogues in Germany in the 20s and 30s about being stabbed in the back or written as protocols in tsarist Russia as an excuse to initiate pogroms.
