Ya I didn't really get it until I did it. I'm not big into hiking. I like it ok and I love being in the outdoors but I prefer trees, rivers, lakes, and wildlife and never had any desire to hike in the desert.

This place though........ You really have to see it in person to get it. It's mind boggling. I would just stand there staring at a rock for 15 minutes in utter disbelief at what I was seeing. It made me feel like I had taken a couple of hits of acid. And that's no joke and no exaggerating. I literally felt like I was high on acid or mushrooms without actually being high.

I think if I really was on acid there then I would probably go insane out there. Sensory overload. The colors are so vivid that they almost seem to vibrate. They almost become auditory. They are loud. Some of the rock is very hard to look at without sunglasses on. It's kind of like turning the brightness and vividness up way too high on your TV.
