Tim Thomas Talking With Mavericks About Return

Tim Thomas, who missed most of 2009-10 to take care of his ill wife, is working on a deal to return to the Mavericks, his agent told ESPN.com.
"We're hoping to get something nailed down to bring him back there," Bob Myers told Marc Stein on Saturday.
Dallas signed Thomas before last season, but the 33-year-old appeared in just 18 games before leaving the team, averaging 7.5 points in 15.8 minutes.
Thomas sent word through thet team that he preferred to keep the nature of his wife's illness private. He also praised the Mavs for their "tremendous" support through the ordeal, according to the report.
