Trade Deadline thread (FEB 23rd 3pm EST)

No way the Wiz should do that.

it was reported the wiz threw the phone on the floor when they first called about porter, i guess they got em to listen and that was the offer..

They're looking for reinforcements/upgrades off the bench not trading away a starter who shoots 47% from 3 and defends..

trading a pick for lou will makes much more sense.....

relative to who - the contenders or the rebuilders? remember you're talking the east which is ruled by lebron with an iron fist

It just depends if CHI wants to go into a full on rebuild mode.

My understanding is that CHI is still a pretty solid destination for FAs. You put Lillard there and you're gonna get FAs interested in joining forces with him. LeBron won't be there much longer, you let Lillard and may be another All Star to gel for 1-2 years, by that time LeBron is on the downward slide and BAM! you're in the hunt.

Houston is trading guard Corey Brewer and a draft pick to the Lakers for Williams, league sources tell @TheVertical

Williams to the Rockets? Jesus.

The bidding war of on Utah. Time to match if you want to make noise.

Wolves’ pursuit of Derrick Rose still very strong—“Thibs wants to do this,” says league source w/knowledge—but MIN absolutely keeping Dunn.

Tom Thibodeau is reportedly making a push to strike a deal for Derrick Rose.

Thibs reported infatuation with Rose is a bit strange, but it does sound like a three-way trade between New York, Minnesota and Detroit involving Rose, Ricky Rubio and Reggie Jackson is brewing. This is a situation we'll be monitoring closely as the deadline approaches.

The Jazz should have given up a first rounder for Lou. **** what Cy has to say about him. Dude has been balling his *** off this year and would have helped the Jazz. But good ol conservative Jazz just want to break even, again, and again.

A weak *** first round pick would have been a small price to pay for some real help in the shooting department. Can't wait to watch Alec Burks throw up bricks in the playoffs then watch Hayward switch teams. But hey, at least we can say we achieved playoff experience that we can cash in never, and start all over again in the 14th spot year after year for another 8 years.

George Hill is Da best. Sign him to 20 million a year.

The end.

The Wizards continue to search for help off the bench and they have shown interest in Shabazz Muhammad, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com

would've been a win-now move for sure.. there's a reason so many teams wanted him.. In the trade machine when you swapped Mack for Lou it projected 13 less wins for LA and 11 more for UTAH (not that thats an indicator of anything just seemed a bit extreme)
