Trade Rumor: Westbrook for Harris and Millsap

Right now Milsap is the one consistent that the Jazz have. On any given night he will be the best producer on the floor. If the Jazz trade Milsap away they deserve to suck.

Just reading that crap tells me it's not a real rumor, Horrible writeup. I've been on the Marshall bandwagon for a wile that's the kind of pg I want on this team. Westbrook might be the most selfish player in the NBA. KD is on his team and Westbrook is always trying to be the man on that team. Can you imagine Westy and Al on the same team. The other three players would wast away into nothingness while Westy and Al fight over who gets to shoot next.

Say Hell no to any Westbrook trades!

Too bad that site is complete **** and there is no truth to this at all. I would love a dynamic player like Westbrook on the jazz. He is not Marbury head case. You take a chance on a kid like him.

At times he plays keep away from KD, and gets into shouting matches with possibly the best scorer in the league so he can be the man over KD. Does that not remind you of the same problems Marbury had with Kevin Garnett!

Nope, not even close. Westbrook is a superior talent for one. Every young player wants to be the man and Westbrook is no slouch. He was very unselfish at ucla as well.

I wouldn't do it. Westbrook is a restricted FA and will be thrown the max by someone after this year and I don't consider him a max player. OKC may be looking to trade him to avoid this very situation.

I don't get people some times. First people don't want anything to do with Rondo (this was several weeks ago), now they don't want anything to do with Westbrook. These are both elite point guards, far better than anything we have now. Even though Westbrook is not a 'pure' point guard, he still dished over 8 dimes a game last year--I don't see how this is 1/3 of the assists he should have, so he should have 24 assists per game?? That's not bad, coupled with 20+points, that's huge production. Milsap is a good, not great, starting PF, and a very good backup PF, but he's not remotely close to being elite.

I'd do this trade in a heartbeat.

He's an incredible athlete...

Not a very good outside shooter...

And one horrible PG. He averages like 1/3 the assists he should.

When will jazz fans get off this whole needing an elite PG thing to be good again? We don't need guys like Duron. We don't need more Carlos Arroyo's who think it's their #1 job to dribble the clock down and hit game winning shots. We don't need guys like Westbrook who think they need to go 1 on 5 and score. No more of Harris who thinks he needs to drive every time down the court or who run down to set a pick and just stand there instead of getting those elbows up and picking off Jefferson's/Millsap's defender like Stockton used to do all the time for Malone. We have plenty of scorers on this team.

What we need are more/better outside shooters and younger Earl Watson who won't get in the way of this engine from running. Get the ball where it needs to go and get out of the way!

The only times this Jazz offense looks like... The Jazz offense... Is when Earl is in the game. He dribbles and shoots the least of anyone on this team. Which is exactly what we need out of a PG. Get the ball to Hayward, Favors, Millsap, Evans, Jefferson, Kanter, etc.

Maybe this concept is lost with today's young generation. In their minds PGs are these guys like John Wall and Derrick Rose who have the ball in their hands 99.9 % of the time and need to shoot most of their team's shots. If they cannot score THEN they pass. And that the other 4 players are supposed to rebound their misses. Is this what's happening?

Because I remember a time when PGs mostly just got the ball, brought it up the court, and threw it to a wing and ran to some dark corner out of site or actually did something that Harris has never done in his life, SET A PICK while the scorers took over. I remember a time when PGs tried to run an offense instead of just try and score.

Maybe I'm too old fashioned

No, we certainly wouldn't want Rose. He dribbles and shoots too much:confused:

If the Jazz had the chance to get LeBron James, I'm reasonably certain this board would be full of people absolutely opposed to the idea, worried about how it would upset chemistry, claiming that losing Milsap was too high a price, pointing out all of LeBron's flaws, etc.

Granted Westbrook is not LeBron, but he WAS voted to the 2nd Team All NBA last year. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, on the current Jazz roster is even close to sniffing the All NBA Team, whether it be the 6th, 5th, 4th, etc. team.

Fans are funny at times.

Lebron doesn't regularly throw temper tantrums and get in fights with his team-mates and chuck his team out of games. Westbrook is talented as all hell, emphasis on hell.

Giving Milsap for Wes, I don't know, I love milsap too much for it.

And the pg type I would be excited for this team is... Stockton, Nash, Rondo, Rubio, Teodosiç, Kidd, Huertas, CP3, Dwill, Lowry, Calderon type.

And for D. Rose, he is off the topic, of course I would like to have him on Jazz.

For Lebron, I wouldn't want him even in my street team... Sorry, that's me.

I'm not sure you can trade Millsap anymore. He is the role model, the glue, the cheese that keeps the nachos together and makes them taste great.

I'm not convinced Westbrook woul dget half as many free throws playing for any other team in the league.
