I don't think the heat have enough assets even if they offer the largest conceivable package.

Even if he doesn’t want to stay, he’s on a rookie deal, he’s got no choice, and even at some point we have to trade him, we’d get more value for him then Mitchell most likely, but even so, I doubt the hornets would agree to that.

I think the KD, Kyrie and Ayton situations are holding up everything. There are probably 10+ teams somehow rumored to those moves, and all those moves could be related.

Lamelo is the caliber of player that you tank for so if you have a chance to get him you do it.

The chances you get a dude as good as him with any of those picks is low and he’s exactly what you’re looking for in a rebuild, to pair with the draft capital we got from Rudy and (in this scenario) cap flexibility we would get from being off 2 max contracts.

If you wouldn’t do that deal why even GM at that point.

My answer is “yes….in a heartbeat” and so would every other GM now and in the future.
