The other guys in a potential Lauri deal that may be worth the bet are Jaden Ivey and Jalen Green. Like they can't be the reason for the deal but I could see them taking a step and making the deal look good/better.

Im less convinced on Green, but, yeah, love the idea.

I really like him as well.
He did some amazing things in a couple games in the playoffs. Really impressed me. He looks insanely long and athletic and I didn't realize he was so young still.
I would love to know his wingspan in relation to his height and I would guess that it would be in the 99th percentile in the NBA. No idea if that's true but he looks to have crazy long arms when I watch him play

I am too I just think their spacing has to be garbage and he is at his best driving and putting pressure on the rim. I personally hate playing with post heavy bigs as the driving lanes get cut in half. I think he has made some progress from being just a straight empty calories guy... I think Udoka has made him a little more serious. I doubt he ever becomes the star he was supposed to be. He would at least dunk cool while we lose... so there's that.

Except VJ might be the safest pick of the 3 and be the culture-setter that we sort of desperately need that they don’t provide.

I am honestly just as fine with any one of them over another. I know that’s a weak take. They all have different strengths and weaknesses that are better or worse in different contexts, but this team is basically a blank slate.

Taking a project like Ace could look real bad if he struggles all year. I wonder what their stomach is for another project that could look rough in 12 months.

They fired the guys who liked Cody and kept the guys who hated Cody apparently and those guys are much more likely to be stats guys (as Cody ranked catastrophically, like #90 in stats based models) who... Rank Kon massively higher than Ace.

Pelton has Kon at #2 and Ace at #27.
