Kennedy: As you mentioned, Utah is a talented team on the rise. Was it tough to leave the Jazz and your teammates there for a rebuilding team like Brooklyn?

Booker: “It was definitely tough. I miss those guys already because I was very close with my teammates, the coaching staff and the front office. Everyone there was great. The fans were tremendous. I loved the city too. It was definitely tough. But at the same time, I saw an opportunity in Brooklyn for myself so I rolled with that opportunity.”

He deserves to be honoured with a highlight mix

It's hard to like a roll player with shooting troubles more than I liked Booker. On and off the court.

I can't remember the last time the praise has been this glowing the season after a former Jazz isn't signed.

We should retire his jersey for the Kanter **** alone

I have a feeling he comes back in some capacity... I hope he gets the standing ovation every time he plays in Utah.

Booker is all class...he will always be one of my favorite players. By definition he is the anti-Kanter.

He was a great energy guy. Who is going to be our energy guy now.

Great question, sir. Someone needs to step up. Definitely. I'm thinking it might be Lyles.

I won't boo him, but I'll be damned if I will give a standing ovation for the enemy. I love Booker but he's on another team. Felt the same way about Malone.

I don't know man, sometimes you just have to make an exception and put aside all that fandom ********.

The difference between Booker's situation and Malone's is huge. If you don't have the guts to stand up for a guy who had no choice but to leave, but still says things like in the OP then too bad for you. I can be a Jazz homer and still cheer for Book, no matter where he goes.

My position has nothing to do with how he left or why he left. Simply put he's not on the Jazz I don't want him hearing cheers, therefore giving him good feelings to help him play well. He's now the enemy. Off court love him on court hate him.
