Tribulation SLC

Tribulation, the Swedish metal band, played in SLC last night. From the picture the band posted on their Facebook-page, there seemed to be quite a lot of people present.

Is there a metal-scene in SLC? Does anyone in this board like this kind of music and did anyone attend last night`s concert?

I love European metal, or what amounts to "nu metal" and break offs like Gothic metal, really. But I lean more toward German industrial sounds, like Rammstein, KMFDM, Eisbrecher, etc. I do not do that many concerts, although I am planning to go to the Primus concert this summer. I went to see Rammstein on one of their US tours, but it is definitely not a family-friendly vibe. I caught Eisbrecher in Germany, that was crazy. Primus is fun if you are a real fan of the band because half the people in the audience usually do not know what to expect and they are not a normal hard rock or metal band. Definitely an acquired taste.

Back to topic, I enjoy Tribulation, there are a few of their songs in my spotify and pandora rotations, I prefer their sound on Children of the Night more than their earlier stuff. But I didn't follow them enough to know they were coming in concert.

Also there is a relatively smaller metal following in SLC and the general area, enough to fill up some arenas, but I would not call it hopping. Obviously it really can't rival places like L.A., where there was a strong metal scene.
