Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

If that's what he was talking about then why did he say words that didn't mean that?
Actually listen to the clip. That is exactly what he said.

"I’m signing an Executive Order to open up the pumps and valves in the north. We want to get that water pouring down here as quickly as possible. Let hundreds of millions of gallons of water to flow down into Southern California, and that will be a big benefit to you. Look, if you don’t want it, you’re going to tell me but I can’t imagine it. I tell you who does like it. When I said that they were very happy with that."

There is no need to correct Trump on his statement. Previously when he mentioned the Delta Smelt and Canada, he was wrong and I said so, but in this statement that MVP posted, it is clear someone straightened Trump out.

Orange clown still rambling about tap which holds all the water California can have but ( maybe Canadians) somebody in the North keeping it closed. He said he will issue executive order to open it so water will flow to California freely. And maggats complained Biden is demented???

California and Nevada have been pushing to divert water from the Columbia and Snake since 1990 as they overbuild in areas without water and want WA and ID to cover the burden. There are plans to pump the water uphill to Jackpot and then to Mead, but it would be expensive, and WA and ID will continue to fight against it.

There is a Columbia River Treaty that Biden pushed to get passed before leaving office, but it is not done.

The worry is Trump will try and change it to divert water to CA.

That fear was in reference to Trump's comments in September, and even that was wrong as neither the Columbia or Snake have Delta Smelt. Trump's comments in September were a jumble of three different issues. Trump went off halfcocked and shot himself in the foot. The clip MVP posted wasn't that. The clip MVP posted is clearly about the Eastern Sierra and the Los Angeles Aqueduct which already exists with valves and pumps.

His comments were referring to the aqueducts that bring water to LA from the Sierra Nevada in Northern California. It isn't water coming into California, it is water coming down into Southern California. Those aqueducts are real.

Real and operating. Means there is nothing to open there or issue executive orders to magically make billions of gallons of water to flow to S. California. But keep defending your orange lying clown. How about those egg and gas prices? Inflation stopped in first day? War in Ukraine ended in 24hrs? Gulible sheep like you who voted for that moron can’t admit that he lied, keeps lying and keeps talking bs out of his deluded narcissistic piehole.

Real and operating does not mean the valves are all open and the pumps are on. About 14 months ago the water being supplied to the Los Angeles basin through the aqueduct was cut so they could green the desert in Owens Valley.

"the solution to the dust problem, have been a long time coming – and are propelled in part by arm-twisting from the Environmental Protection Agency. But last November, Water & Power breached the L.A. Aqueduct and turned water out to Owens Lake so it could do something it hasn’t done in almost 90 years – flow into the desert.

“You could almost water-ski on that,” says Plakos as we roll past a flooded area off the edge of the road. ... So far, the city has committed up to 40,000 acre-feet of water a year * a bit more than 10 percent of the aqueduct’s average annual flow."

In 2023 before they decided to green the desert, the Los Angeles Aqueduct carried 325 billion gallons of water. Issuing an executive order to stop diverting 10% to the desert and instead pipe it through the existing infrastructure to Los Angeles would indeed make a difference of billions of gallons of water.

Well, this is one solution to resolving the Palestinian dispute. “Cleansing” Gaza of Palestinians definitely seems effective. Thoughts and prayers for all those Muslim Americans who voted for Trump thinking he’d be a better advocate for Palestine than Harris.

You’re correct. I should have said Dr. Oz….

Meh. I just don't see a cause for concern. Earlier you posted outrage over Trump's EO to end Biden's plan for $2 generic medications. Every one of those medications is already on Walmart's $4 list. Imposing this $2 construction would save people virtually nothing, but it would cost the tax payers billions to pay for administrators handling claims. With the Walmart list, there are no administrators, no forms to fill out, and customers don't need insurance of any kind. People just show up to the counter and purchase a month's supply of the drugs for $4 or a 90-day supply for $10. I do not understand why you want to build an entire structure of expensive government to complicate up the process for virtually no benefit.

Do you think Muslims want to live in war?

Trump has negotiated a ceasefire in Gaza to stop the fighting. Now he’s set about negotiating a plan for getting the people of Gaza out of the open air prison where nothing but piles of rubble remain and to someplace safe with working infrastructure while the rebuilding process happens. The Muslim Americans who voted for Trump thinking he would help are all high-fiving each other for their wisdom in who they put their trust in.

I have noticed way more arguing and division on Facebook since Trump's election.

The trump presidency is all about making himself and other billionaires more money.
If, coincidentally, some average Americans make more money too then im sure he is fine with that but make no mistake his #1 priority is himself making more money over everything else.

Here is the real reason he made immigration such a big campaign topic. There is money to be made in the deportation business.

It's a ****ing atrocity.

I had an idea for private prisons that they would be compensated based on recidivism rates and penalties for people who have their sentence extended while in custody.

US prisons are the modern corporate gulag. As a prisoner if you refuse to work in a private prison you face discipline. It's the modern face of slavery

I'm guessing if inmates were paid a minimum of 50 dollars a day, most would be better off in prison
