Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Somewhat serious thought here. California is the enemy within. trump knew that releasing this water would only hurt the state of california by screwing them over later on when that water is needed. Then this coming summer when california lacks the water for the farmland trump will again blame Gavin Newscum for the lack of water for the farmers.
trump is simply waging war against the enemy within. It tracks.
Spot on. He already set the table for this blame. He'll simply double down on the claim, falsely of course, that he released that water which saved Los Angeles from the fires, and he was forced to do so because newsome and the dei deep state left were hoarding it to hurt Republicans so that's why the water is gone. Trump had to do newsome's job TWICE. That's why they have no water now. And, you're all welcome by the way.

Lol. No one knows more about performing arts than trump. Here is why he is doing it though: Read the Kennedy Center's mission statement. It talks about celebrating different cultures, embracing diversity and championing equality....things that Donald Trump hates. And he's going to be chairman of an entity that embodies virtues he doesn't have? Just more cancelling of things trump doesn't like.

Dear Trump apologists: reply to me to your heart’s content, and while you’re at it, pound salt….Don't be so terrified of Truth. Well, that will never happen….I’m sure your relentless flood of BS will continue to flow unimpeded…

Elon musk’s unceasing attempts to access the data and information systems of the federal government range so widely, and are so unprecedented and unpredictable, that government computing experts believe the effort has spun out of control. This week, we spoke with four federal-government IT professionals—all experienced contractors and civil servants who have built, modified, or maintained the kind of technological infrastructure that Musk’s inexperienced employees at his newly created Department of Government Efficiency are attempting to access. In our conversations, each expert was unequivocal: They are terrified and struggling to articulate the scale of the crisis.

Even if the president of the United States, the head of the executive branch, supports (and, importantly, understands) these efforts by DOGE, these experts told us, they would still consider Musk’s campaign to be a reckless and dangerous breach of the complex systems that keep America running. Federal IT systems facilitate operations as varied as sending payments from the Treasury Department and making sure that airplanes stay in the air, the sources told us.

Based on what has been reported, DOGE representatives have obtained or requested access to certain systems at the U.S. Treasury, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Office of Personnel Management, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, with eyes toward others, including the Federal Aviation Administration. “This is the largest data breach and the largest IT security breach in our country’s history—at least that’s publicly known,” one contractor who has worked on classified information-security systems at numerous government agencies told us this week. “You can’t un-ring this bell. Once these DOGE guys have access to these data systems, they can ostensibly do with it what they want.

What exactly they want is unclear. And much remains unknown about what, exactly, is happening here. The contractor emphasized that nobody yet knows which information DOGE has access to, or what it plans to do with it. Spokespeople for the White House, and Musk himself, did not respond to emailed requests for comment. Some reports have revealed the scope of DOGE’s incursions at individual agencies; still, it has been difficult to see the broader context of DOGE’s ambition.

The four experts laid out the implications of giving untrained individuals access to the technological infrastructure that controls the country. Their message is unambiguous: These are not systems you tamper with lightly. Musk and his crew could act deliberately to extract sensitive data, alter fundamental aspects of how these systems operate, or provide further access to unvetted actors. Or they may act with carelessness or incompetence, breaking the systems altogether. Given the scope of what these systems do, key government services might stop working properly, citizens could be harmed, and the damage might be difficult or impossible to undo. As one administrator for a federal agency with deep knowledge about the government’s IT operations told us, “I don’t think the public quite understands the level of danger.”

Dude, see you don’t get it. Elon is a genius.

He had literal weeks to plan all of this while he last minute jumped on the Trump train. This massive under taking is totally under control. He’s got his army of tech virgins all over it.

MAGA is a god damn joke. Like a toddler playing Minecraft. They think Twitter is real life and science.

President Donald Trump has for weeks suggested that Canada become the United States’ 51st state, and while opinion has been divided about whether Trump is serious or merely trolling its neighbor, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has reportedly said that it’s the former, according to reports.

In a closed-door meeting with Canadian business and labor leaders, Trudeau reportedly affirmed that Trump’s ambitious aims of annexation are "a real thing."

"Mr. Trump has it in mind that the easiest way to do it is absorbing our country and it is a real thing. In my conversations with him on …" Trudeau said before the microphone cut out, according to CBC.

The news media had been asked to leave the room before Trudeau delivered his comments, but CBC and The Toronto Star were able to hear them and record them.

"I suggest that not only does the Trump administration know how many critical minerals we have, but that may be even why they keep talking about absorbing us and making us the 51st state," Trudeau added according to people in the room who listened to his comments. "They’re very aware of our resources, of what we have, and they very much want to be able to benefit from those."

"Yes, I can confirm that Trudeau said his assessment is that what Trump really wants is not action on fentanyl or immigration or even the trade deficit, what he really wants is to either dominate Canada or take it outright," McGowan wrote. "Tariffs are a tactic towards that end."

Trump first pitched the idea during a dinner at Mar-a-Lago with Trudeau in late November. Trump has also suggested annexing Greenland.

@MVP good luck

Why doesn’t MAGA care about stuff like this? Trump and his cronies sucking up government money is pretty corrupt. And it’s been happening for most of the last decade. Is it corruption when it’s helping sick people in Africa but totally fine when it’s enriching Trump and his buddies?

No see, liberals did it first, somehow, so it’s ok when they do it. Because liberals did it first. Even if they didn’t! They did, and that’s why it’s ok when they do it.

The last thing Shane Poole wanted was to turn his back on the military life he loves. But Poole, an Air Force veteran who now works as a civilian trainer, says he's lost all trust in the government as President Donald Trump pushes a now-or-never buyout on federal workers.

Poole had been dedicated to his team of 77 and the service branch he's served since he was 18. But the Trump blitz on government employees changed his mind.

He is one of a reported 60,000 federal employees who have accepted the unprecedented buyout offer, which is on hold pending a court hearing Monday.

“What’s frustrating is that this administration has portrayed people like myself as the enemy to the American people. We are portrayed as lazy, incompetent, low productivity,” said Poole, 41, the lead instructional systems specialist at the Hill Air Force Base in Utah. “It’s hurtful to see people cheering this on.”

From the comments: Fair question for those saying that many government employees are lazy and useless. How do you know that the ones taking the buyout are the bad apples? If you have 100 people working on a project and 30 of them are useless, and 40 people take the buyout, all of whom are highly talented figuring that they can find other jobs, you are now left with 60 employees, 30 of whom are useless. The agency went from 30% useless to 50% useless. Doesn’t it stand to reason that the lazy ones will cling to their jobs and not thrust themselves into a tight job market? Doesn’t it stand to reason that the ones who leave are the ones who are most likely to be employable elsewhere?

Why doesn’t MAGA care about stuff like this?
Because it is a government building. Chelsea Clinton got USAID to pay for a $10 million dollar mansion, that became her property, as in it is hers now. They called the $10 million dollar gift mansion "aid for Haitian children". That isn't the same thing as the Secretary of Defense requesting the government owned General Flag Officer Quarters to be repainted. He doesn't get to keep the building or even the paint. It is mind boggling that you view a $10 million dollar gift mansion to Chelsea Clinton as being the same as the sitting Secretary of Defense asking for a government building to be repainted.

I expected better of you. When you voiced an acceptance of an audit so long as it was done fairly, I didn't think you'd jump on this boat of seeing Chelsea Clinton's $10 million dollar gift mansion "for Haitian children" as defensible or the same as requesting a new paint job on a government building. We obviously have different views, but I didn't think you'd buy in to corruption, which the Chelsea Clinton mansion clearly is.

I love how maga just takes whatever Elon tweets out as gospel. As if facts or evidence don’t matter.

Wonder why Trump and Musk the Nazi like this guy so much?

One of the top leaders of the state dept. also, what does he mean by “air jordans?” Why would that be an incentive? I don’t get it

If Chelsea Clinton didn't get a $10 million dollar mansion from USAID, she would've already filed a lawsuit for libel. She hasn't because Elon has the data to back the statement, and with Chelsea, it is likely the tip of the iceberg. Chelsea Clinton very much has her head down right now hoping no one pays attention to what DOGE found.

Have you heard that Elon Musk is reported to have bought five SuperBowl advertising slots to expose this type of corruption to an audience that doesn't normally pay attention?

Do you think Chelsea Clinton will be featured in one of the spots? I do.

Im sure Musk and DOGE will crack down on Pete.
It’s amazing how these guys are running a disinformation campaign on America. Russia and China must be so proud.

And this is why I was saying months and months ago that social media needed much stronger regulations. The world’s richest man spews nonsense. And because of the algorithms he uses, he pushes his propaganda ahead of any fact checkers. Meanwhile MAGA, Russia, and other troll factories piggyback on this disinformation. And this is what creates the alternative reality that 45 percent of the country lives in.

It’s ironic that the world’s most “free thinkers” are the biggest dupes. They literally indoctrinate themselves. They’ve lost touch with reality. Deep down, many of them know that they’re being played. They just don’t want to admit it. They refuse to admit that liberals have been right about Trump and his cult all along for almost a decade.

Live view of MAGA desperately trying to convince themselves that Musk and Dodge are discovering anything useful:

I know it’s a stupid question because it’s painfully obvious that you eat their propaganda like tic tacs, but is there anything msnbc has told you that you don’t believe?

Over at the normally Donald Trump-supportive National Review, the president was on the receiving end of a blistering take-down from longtime conservative Andrew McCarthy for his "breast-beating" proposal to take over the Gaza Strip.

As McCarthy explained, there is no way anyone was going to agree to let the U.S. force over 2 million Palestinians out of Gaza so Trump's administration could proceed with turning the region into the "Riviera of the Middle East."

To make his case, he noted that, despite Trump's frequent boasts, he is actually a "poor negotiator," as demonstrated by his recent tariff threats against Mexico and Canada which both fell apart within days.

"Once our neighbors readied [tariff] retaliation that would have caused real harm, once markets duly groaned, the president beat a swift retreat with, of course, a farcical declaration of victory," before pointedly adding, "Mexico and Canada made no actual concessions."

"Trump's schtick of chest-beating, name-calling bravado — which is already tired after two weeks (plus four years) — is scant veil for Trump’s craving of plaudits and respect from the progressive foreign policy blob that he denigrates for public consumption," he accused. "This is hard to see as anything other than Trumpian attention-grabbing."
