Trump Dictatorship and All Things Politics

Lol

A government contract was awarded to Thomson Reuters Special Services, a company selected by the Department of Defense to test defenses against “social engineering” cyberattacks, which use “social deception” strategies to trick humans.

But Musk instead told his legions of online followers that the government paid Reuters news agency, which is a sister company to Thomson Reuters Special Services, to engage in deception.
“That’s literally what it says on the official government documents!!” Musk wrote Thursday on X.

“Musk’s comments are as if he saw a budget line for the National Cancer Institute and insinuated that the government was funding cancer,” Dale said Friday. “Or saw a budget line for the National Terrorism Advisory System and insinuated that the government was advising terrorists.”

Notably the $9.1 million contract Musk is referring to began under Trump’s watch in 2018.

“Even before DoD’s comment, it was obvious to anyone who did 1 minute of research that this contract was for military defense against deception tactics, not for a news agency to engage in deceiving the public,”

Has there ever been a dictator, current or past, who hasn’t used this as an excuse to violate the law? Folks, we elected someone who clearly has zero respect for law and order. We should’ve known after the first time what he’d do. We live in ominous times.

Btw, what does the country need saving from? It’s hard to take Donald seriously when he’s out golfing this weekend and malls and restaurants are packed full of folks enjoying life. Aside from his own authoritarianism, what do we need saving from?

Sadly, 40-45 percent of the country will believe in Musk no matter what the facts or fact checkers say

Look, stealing from charities, making fake universities, sleeping with pornstars and paying them to keep quiet, committing sexual assault, using businesses fraudulently, blackmailing/extorting foreign leaders, inciting insurrections, stealing classified documents, and attempting to steal an election are all things that help to save the country.

How much tax would you like people to pay?
At a minimum let the Trump tax cuts expire. That's already cost us $4 trillion and the fact that a very minimal amount of that is from anyone outside the top 10% means ordinary folks won't feel it. And realistically neither will the top 10% due to the sheer volume of their wealth.

Maybe all this stuff exists and I just don't know about it but I saw this and it made me think.

I listened to a podcast episode not too long ago about how the richest families in America 100 years ago were pretty cutthroat businessmen but did a lot of philanthropy. Perhaps to offset their ugly business side? At any rate, they did a lot of good with their money. But today’s richest, especially in the tech industry, are a bunch of awkward, desperate, many of them are autistic weirdos. Like Musk, money isn’t enough. They want the power and respect and the vengeance they seek for never being invited to the cool kid’s table at lunch. When you see how guys like Zuckerberg, Thiel, and Musk operate, it makes a lot of sense. These guys aren’t trying to make the world better. They want to rule.

Proof is mounting that nothing Musk is doing does anything except harm.

What a shock.

If anyone has been paying attention to twitter, they’d know that it operated far better pre-musk ownership that post. It’s impossible to get reliable news from that platform anymore. Plenty of porn, Russian bots, and crypto ads though!

Bobby knight wanted to be buried *** up so journalists could kiss his ***. Before I die I want Americans to finally realize that just because you’re rich doesn’t mean you’re smart. And government should never ever ever be run like a business.

I'm happy to say that I have never once had a Twitter/X account.

Hmm.

Donald Trump appeared to quote Napoleon Bonaparte by way of Rod Steiger on Saturday afternoon after his blitzkrieg of executive actions and threats to federal agencies under Elon Musk were challenged in courts across the country, raising alarms that his administration is preparing to shred court orders and ignite a constitutional crisis.

“He who saves his Country does not violate any Law,” the president wrote on Truth Social and X.

The official White House account on X also shared the message, endorsing his apparent belief that the president of the United States is incapable of breaking any law…..

The world’s wealthiest man and his allies have repeated false and inflated claims about how the three branches of government operate, and how a system of checks and balances is designed to prevent the presidency from accumulating supreme authority.

Their comments are raising alarms among constitutional scholars and legal analysts for an impending constitutional crisis — which the White House blames on the judges, not the president’s spurious legal actions and the administration’s baseless insistence that he should not be subject to checks and balances in the courts.

The New York Times’s Jamelle Bouie called Trump’s latest statement “the single most un-American and anti-constitutional statement ever uttered by an American president.”

“We're getting into real Führerprinzip territory here,” added conservative Trump critic Bill Kristol, referencing executive authority under Nazi Germany, granting the word of the führer above all.

Musk’s ongoing campaign to delegitimize the courts followed Vice President JD Vance’s claim that “judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

MAGA will love this tweet, little realizing what they are endorsing. Except those among them who know exactly what they are endorsing.

Again this is where we need to see our elected officials stepping up to defend the Constitution by continuing to throw this stuff to the courts. And it's about time the legislative branch got off their asses and started looking at things they can do legislatively to stop the bleeding. But this means mostly Democrats since the Republicans have proven time and again that all they want is Dear Leader Trump to be president until he dies. Which frankly can't come soon enough.
