Trump is firing the current ICE director because he is not hitting the daily deportation numbers trump wants. Which is such a bad way of operating. trump says 1200-1500 deportations per day. Regardless of how many undocumented people there are. Those numbers are being met so the director gets fired. This would seem to encourage the next director to simply have the goal of hitting the numbers regardless of the amount of undocumented people they are able to even find.

The Trump administration is replacing the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), over concerns over the pace of the deportation campaign.

The Trump administration is replacing the acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over concerns about the pace of deportations and arrests of illegal immigrants.

A source familiar confirmed to Fox News that acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello has been removed from his position. The source said that the administration is not happy with the pace of deportations and arrests. T

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the personnel change to Fox News.

ICE arrests have gone up significantly since the beginning of the administration, but not enough to meet the administration’s targets.


Just such a bad way to do things. Its like giving police officers quotas. The next director might deport people who aren't even here illegally simply to hit the numbers and not be fired.

Because it's a very public way for them to inflict pain and embarrassment on people who have no resources or power to fight back.

Because taxing billionaires was never an option.

It’s an administration of and for billionaires and not for scientists, park rangers nor air traffic controllers.

Don't justify it! Just deport them!

I can't wait until there is an imaginary crime all the liberal commies are supposedly committing and police are incentivized to have aggressive confrontations with the supposed perpetrators.

If I were a transgender person I would be very afraid of what might be coming. They are already the most murdered people but that doesn't mean that it can't get far far worse.

A decision by Donald Trump to fire everyone and wrest control of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on the banks of the Potomac has led to an alarming downward spiral in ticket sales and artists canceling performances in protest.

After returning to the Oval Office, the president ousted the art institution’s leadership and packed the the board of trustees with loyalists before designating his proxy, Richard Grenell, to run the operation.

With the change, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt boasted, "The Kennedy Center learned the hard way that if you go woke, you will go broke. President Trump and the members of his newly-appointed board are devoted to rebuilding the Kennedy Center into a thriving and highly respected institution where all Americans, and visitors from around the world, can enjoy the arts with respect to America’s great history and traditions.”
 

“I write with immediate concern regarding an email that your office sent to federal employees today and its relationship with Elon Musk’s threat to dismiss any employees who do not respond,” the Ranking Member wrote. “This threat is illegal, reckless, and yet another example of the cruel and arbitrary chaos Mr. Musk is inflicting on the people’s government and its dedicated public servants. You must immediately clarify that federal employees’ nonresponse to this ill-conceived, weekend email does not constitute resignation.”
