Thank you! I have been saying this for far too long. Why draft PROSPECTS if we are not going to play them. We complain that Kanter doesn't have much game experience so we draft him to not give him any? ha ha
This is a joke. The Jazz organization is a joke and they need to trade Millsap and Raja Bell. Both need to go. I love Millsap. Been a homer for years. I liked him before the Jazz drafted him. I brag all the time that I was right about him being a sleeper coming out of college. But the fact is we won't contend with Millsap starting. His value can only go down from here. Favors is the future and so is Kanter. If we don't think Kanter is the future than why did we draft him????????? The future means invest time into him! Just drafting somebody doesn't mean you invested into him or even giving him a paycheck. It means nothings. Invest game time into a player means your serious about him.
These young guys need minutes. Keeping Veterans is smart to help the young guys mindsets while they play and teach them composure. But keeping on the bench wastes away good talent. I am not worried about wins as much as development. Jazz management is a joke. I have no confidence in them until I see changes.
Same reason almost every team in the league does the exact same thing. You draft on potential which in the vast majority of cases takes time to develop and get game ready. Game minutes obviously are part of it but the notion that Jazz treat young players different than the rest of the league is a popular myth on this board. Very few NBA coaches want to play rookies and not many rookies are ready for prime time year one.
