What's new

Ty the turd already on thin ice with me

Not doubting you, but just curious how that is determined??? Is there a yearly Jazz Fanz award that I don't know of??

Simple math. Divide post count by rep power. Although, I've been sabotaged by a trio of sensitive sally's today. But as the season unfolds and Hayward is carrying us to the promised land, with Raja Bell saddled deep on the bench or on the IR, I will surely have my day!

Not if Ty the Turd has anything to say about it, eh?

Let's me see if I got this:

He changed the Jazz's "3 pointers are not a threat" defensive philosophy.
He's received hard work from his players during the off season when they could've all just Curry'd it.
He's extending the blue-collar work ethic from Sloan
He was thrown into the fire after a HOF coach and his All Star left and he only had minimal time to figure things out

But he MIGHT start Raja Bell.

HE'S A WITCH! BURN HIM!!! BURN HIM!!!

That's a good one. The theme and intent of your post fundamentally opposes the purpose of this message board, however. So unless you remain consistent and never offer your opinion on the Utah Jazz - which I believe is unlikely - I'll file your post under worthless and attach the famous U MAD pictures that seem to be hip on the web these days.

I sense all the self-righteous, pseudo-classy anonymous internet posters ganging up on me. But as a wise man once said, all revolutionaries end up being heretics - or something of that sort.

My perspective on all things Utah Jazz has always been a step above the rest of this community sans a few posters (none of which still post). Time will prove all my claims to be true and my logic flawless.

Thank you for this.

That felt good.

Never thought I would ever hand out negative reps. Congratulations on changing my mind.
Chitown earned neg from me too. He is way off base in this thread and has made numerous comments that I find extremely offensive... especially wishing injury on a player and equating a person with bodily waste.

Corbin hasn't said anything. At all.

Any question he's answered has been something along the lines of "This person has done great, and they have as good of a shot as anyone to start."

He's honestly just praised everyone, and said nothing.

I think it is nonsense to judge Ty looking at last year. He came in the middle of chaos and he did pretty well in my opinion. He is pretty flexible, he didn't have some of the contagious disease as Sloan had, like getting stuck to 2 should guard 2 and giving Korver to Kobe.

But we will see this year how good he can really be. He didn't prove anything yet but he didn't do anything wrong too. (Except i think starting millsap at 3 is a bad experiment for me and i hope it will stay as experiment, he won't keep insisting)

So let's hope for the best and let's support him because we aren't an organization who changes 20 coaches every year, but once in 20 years. That's why it is for our best to support him.

Awwwwww I'm so sorry. Let me know when your ****** feels better and we can take steps towards healing.

To me, Corbin will always feel like a consolation prize. It's really not his fault. When Sloan quit last year, in a desparate attempt to regain their image of stability, The Jazz FO quickly signed Corbin to a mulit year deal. In doing so, The Jazz franchise discarded possibly their greatest asset. And that is an organization with the reputation as a place where the inmates don't run the asylum.

The Jazz could have easily made Corbin interim and then waited to see what type of interest they could drum up in the HC position during the off-season. If they couldn't find anyone worthwhile, they could have then given Corbin his deal. By rushing through the process, Utah passed up a golden opportunity to bring in a proven winner.

"Ty the turd...." wow thats mature and constructive.

"Hopefully Bell suffers a career ending injury..." Please delete your account. I don't care if this was some kind of message board inside joke, you're a DB

My opinion, this is retarded.

A career ending injury? So you want the guy to get hurt? What a jackass. I am no fan of Bell and I think he was horrendous last year but I dont want the guy to get hurt. You need to relaxe a little. Also Corbin said the competition between Miles and Hayward was really good. That does not mean that they both cant start. Just that they are really haing a good competition and pushing each other. Isn't that what we should want as fans? Them challenging and pushing each other to be better?

I agree. It's a good idea to step back and think before letting your anger post for you.

I also agree that it's always good to have both players to be good to great players. You can never have enough talent on a basketball team. Besides, despite what is said on this board, players do tend to get hurt; especially in a hectic race of a season. We're going to need to be several players deep at every position.

The Jazz like to groom their coaches. Sloan groomed under Frank and Corbin groomed under Sloan. It does make for a smoother transition.

However, I was a little concerned last year about Corbin. He didn't seem like he was ready yet (understandable). This year, he does seem to know a lot more of what direction he wants to take the team (defense at least). I just hope his assistant coaches also step up. It takes a whole staff to make a good coach look great. Plus, there's too many unknown variables on this team for even the coaching staff to know what they have.

I'm willing to give them time to tweek and develop their system before I make any decisions about them.
