Corbin doesn't need to completely change the offense, but he does need to adapt it to match the strengths of the team. I'm with ya, jazzfan 1971...Sloan just could never believe NBA players would shoot >30% on their 3's.

Jordan won an NBA title every (entire) year he was coached by Phil Jackson.

So yeah, I'm sure Sloan would've won him more than all.

I agree with this for sure. The Jerry Sloan offense has, and always will be one of the most effective offenses ever. I believe if Sloan coached the Jordan lead Bulls, they would've won even more titles.
Getting to the Jazz defense though. Yeah..... the game has changed a lot, and some good defensive tweaks are needed.

Nobody loves Jazzbasketball more than me, but Tex Winter's triangle suited Jordan's Bulls better than any other offense could have. Similarly, I think Jerry and Phil's system got the absolute most out of Utah's role players and was the perfect offense for players like Stockton, Malone, Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer.

Agree we don't need to overhaul this offensive system - provided Corbin maintain a similar level of discipline that Sloan did. Defensively, I would like to see us alter our screen-roll defense and help-defense principles.
