What's new

Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat - 11/12/15 - 5:30pm ROOT

This is what worries me about Hayward, he just simply isn't a 4th quarter type player. Yeah, his overall statline looks good, but it was all early. You can't ever be called a star in this league if you consistently disappear late in the games. I just don't feel comfortable with the ball in Hayward's hands late in close games. If he's ever going to really be a star, he has to step up his game late in close games. He still hasn't proven that in his career.

This, we're still looking for that guy unfortunately...

we simply need more from Hood. Burke had an off-game offensively, but Hood has been absent all ****ing season.

We lost by 1-point at the Heat arena missing probably our best player. We will be okay.

It would be hard to find it right now, but he had one of the highest FG% in the NBA on isolation situations. It was a good shot and a shot Hayward made a lot last year. Knock it off with that short term memory.

As I've already spoonfed to you, being good in isolation situations does not mean he was shooting over 50% on fadeaway contested jumpers. Stop being stupid.

This is what I always thought about Hayward. I don't feel comfortable with the ball in Hayward's hands late in close games either. Ball has to be in Burks hand down the stretch. Soon Hood will surpass the offensive hierarchies too.

Burke should try to shoot open threes in close games too.

Hayward has performed late game plenty of times. This team is young, it's vets are young. They played well tonight without Rudy. It's a long season dudes.

Overreacting about Hood much? Yes.

quick thoughts

Favors omg
come on Quin the 6 minute mark is too late to put Burks back in
Hayward is taking too many mid range J's. Minor thing but he needs to take it to the rack more.
Burke is still wasting too much time(~10 sec) as the primary ball handler
3's need to fall or we're in trouble

the mouth-breathers who bitched about matching the Hayward contract are coming out of the woodwork again it seems

This x10000000000000000

People crying about a step back he took on Winslow. He was money with that shot last year, they will start falling again.

Cy apparently thinks isolations plays are exclusively defined as fadeaway contested jumpers.

24 points
11 rebounds
3 assist

Hayward lost the game for us clearly.

*sarcasm*

Having two starters combine for 2 points and having Ingles/Booker score 0 points is what lost us the game.

Def didn't lose the game for us but I had no faith in him tonight hitting those shots we needed. I just didn't. I love Hayward too.

Hard to fault Hayward this game with Whiteside patrolling the paint. Hayward just isn't explosive enough to challenge Whiteside consistently with a telegraphed drive.

Hayward did take it strong to the rim and tried to dunk it and got rejected by a very nice Bosh block. It happens, just like Bosh blocked Burks layup towards the end.

If that's true then our role players are going to start falling of the back end of the treadmill before this team becomes competitive. So we'll have our "alpha" and bitch that he doesn't have enough supporting cast. Then he'll be gone and we'll start over.

If this team, minus minor roster adjustments, isn't THE team we need then we're another full rebuild away.

He is suppose to be our 3 point threat and he is sub 25% for the season now and seems to be more interested in being an off the bounce iso threat.

He's showing me plenty for his 2nd year after an injury full rookie season. You say he looks good in off the dribble shots but bad in catch and shoot shots. I'd be more concerned if it was the other way around. He'll get his rythm, and he's definitely not been absent like Dala states. Kinda ridiculous...
