That's a pretty sexy class. It helps when your recruits play skill positions. BYU got a bunch of big boys that will probably be good players in the trenches, but they aren't fun to go youtube and watch videos or anything.

Seriously, though, am I the only the one that thinks a word and types a totally different word? I do that all the time. Maybe I do have a learning disability? My mom tends to think I'm special - so does KEK, Vinylone, Kicky, GoJazz, Troutbum, Numberica, etc.

Hey Duck, am I underrating the current WR's on BYU's roster? I was suprised to see they weren't more aggressive in bringing some playmakers in at WR. They seem pretty weak there to me.

I'm not Duck, but I think the Y has some tall, fast, athletic receivers, and the new receivers coach is bananas about catching everything thrown your way.
This is why I'm not worried about it.
They got a couple 6-7, 6-8 TE's, and I hear one may even be fast enough to play WR.
We did lose a seasoned slow, white receiver but I am fine with that after this past year of drops everywhere and we still have some short, slow, white receivers that can fill that void.

Yeah, I think you are. Their two best play makers were likely redshirting last year, Ross Apo(6'4") and Drew Phillips. Jordan Smith got off a mission awhile go and is like 6'5" and supposedly fast for his size. And Hoffman(6'4") was very productive at times and will probably be more consistent as time goes on. Mckay Jacobsen just needs to toughen up and become a football player again, he's a pansy now for some reason after being very tough and looking very good his Freshman year. Maybe he'll get his swagger back via the new coaching.

So I think they have plenty of size and speed to draw from at WR for this year where any potential recruits impact would have been negligible. I don't know if will all come together, or if some of these guys will live up to their hype, but they seem talented. You always want guys coming up through your program and playmakers obviously though so hopefully they are able to get a bit more of that in next year's recruiting. And hopefully the Heaps' rumors are nonsense so we can see what these guys can do early on. Because if Riley Nelson is the QB, the WR will suck because they'll have trouble getting the ball and become disinterested again.

Now a little speed in the backfield might have been warranted for this year. Phillips is a slot guy, so I'm sure he might pull some RB duty too and he can fly, but they've got too much thunder there and no lighting really(Diluigi has some bake to him I guess).
