What's new

We may lose more games than anyone next season but we're going to look good doing it-New court and jerseys

Living outside of Utah, most people have no idea what the note means. It's kind of nice to be able to wear Jazz gear and not have too many strangers try to start a conversation about what I'm wearing. And those who do actually know the NBA so it's OK.
I have had a different experience. I have lived in 5 other NBA cities and traveled to most of the other NBA cities and I find the note very recognizable, at least to basketball fans.

I don't think we are really saying different things. NBA fans know the note, but the general population, in my experience doesn't, which is the way I like it.

General population probably doesn't know the mountains in relation to the jazz either.
General population probably dgaf about the jazz to be honest

I don't think I've ever seen the mountain logo by itself, it always has the word Utah with it. Then, even if it was by itself there are a bunch of brands with mountain logos, so it could easily get confused and just isn't very unique.

The note is just much better all around. More iconic for those that know the NBA, more original, more simple.

Actually think the Mountain logo is a 100x more iconic.

IMO this is the most iconic Jazz jersey of all time.

The insane juxtaposition of having the word "jazz" against mountains makes no sense, but it looks cool af. I fugging hate that we put "Utah" over it now.

Like the whole concept of "Utah Jazz" is probably the dumbest team name in sports when it comes to it making sense. But when you fully lean into the absurdity of it, it works despite the fact that it shouldnt. Which is why the Jazz were so great at design in the 90s because the 90s NBA embraced absurd designs. Now everyone is trying to be sleek/refined and it doesnt work nearly as well. And now we have Utah going back to it's roots a bit, but they want to make sense and "embrace Utah" but that's stupid IMO. So while the new jersey is an improvement over the hot garbage yellow design, it still lacks the personality of the 90's which is what set Utah apart.

Someone here about 10-15 years ago made their own jerseys using Photoshop or something. They were better than anything we’ve had or seen.

My biggest gripe with the old mountain jerseys and these new ones is the font.

Having worked in the film/entertainment industry in LA for 7 years, I personally know at least 30 people who could design and execute something better.

I dig the purple, though. Glad it's fully back. Navy is the most boring color in sports.

Make the J a note and get both mountains and the note

Never thought about it but you are right. The mountains and Jazz is such a random pairing. Almost has more aura because its so goofy.

To be honest, I like the old Nuggets logo with the mountains behind the skyline better than our mountains. And these new jerseys look fine in a presentation, but aren’t really going to pop on the court.

You know what was really original and simple? The initial highlighter yellow rebrand.
