Two days prior to the start of the 2018–19 season, Mudiay sprained his right ankle in practice; an injury which would sideline him for over two weeks.

Charlotte Hornets.

Phoenix Suns.
[32] On January 25, he was diagnosed with a left shoulder strain and was ruled out for at least two weeks.
