What's new

Welcome to the first ever Jazzfanz salary cap draft Current Draft addition.

This is crazy. You can’t change the cap after picks have been made. Especially after you got lucky to get Wemby. I may not have gone with the two very expensive guys I went with.
Also why did you pick Hali? You said not to pick guys who were injured and expected to miss all or most of the season. I would have taken Tatum!
Fine. I’ll replace Wemby if that makes you feel better and I’ll keep Hali which will hurt me. I originally wanted to have the cap at how the nba has it but was talked up. Then when @Miggs made his argument I agreed with him so I decided at 225 million.

So before @Hornacekamania picks I’m replacing Wemby and he is not eligible to be re-drafted

@The Midnight @Miggs @Coach Ellis @David Hume@Domino @Strutter @Hornacekamania @toddychurch@ZULLO-OMEGA

This just got even more crazy! Just stick with the original rules. You can’t change the structure after it’s started. If someone doesn’t like it they should have said something before it started or not sign up.

The right thing to do is stick with the rules you set and replace Hali.
The right thing to do IMO is to do what I feel is right for this competition. @Miggs said it best. What’s the point of having a salary cap draft if it’s not going to be hard and force us to be creative and show some true GM-ing skills. Embrace the challenge. This has never been about winning for me. I do this because I enjoy this.

I never should’ve let @The Midnight talk me up so high in the first place.

In the immortal words of Kevin O’Connor, former Utah Jazz GM when he said, I never should’ve let Moe Williams go. I’m correcting a mistake when he re-signed Mo Williams at the end of his career lol

@Miggs with the usual school yard bully tactics all over again.

Be a man, bro.

Grow a pair.

Personally I'd keep the rules that we started with (although I agree that 225 would've been a more interesting number to work with).

Maybe a compromise could be incorporating an apron system? 290 is the hard cap, 260 is the second apron threshold, and 225 is the first apron threshold. Then do a "reversing rule." So if you don't get first overall in votes while in the second apron, you get last place instead. If you don't get top 3 (before the reversal happens) in the first apron, then you also get last place. (Then some type of tiebreaker for the teams that get reversed: I'd probably go in order of spending so 289 mil would get 10th and 286 mill would get 9th, etc.)
