A real possibility... I don't think BOS has enough talent to pull it off though.

Talent as in FO talent or tradeable assets?
They certainly have both.
Jaylen Brown is looking very good in Summer League, like a powerhouse SF who could play 4 in modern lineups.
Marcus Smart, while I'm not a fan, is at least a defensive specialist who is still young enough to be considered to have offensive potential.
Outside of that they are talent thing on the rookie contract spectrum, but they have those 2 Brookyln picks, those trump all.
Tradeable assets... Ainge is probably the shrewdest GM there is.
I thought they already used that on Brown?

I think it will happen, and it will be less than what you might expect, since there is a very real possibility he bolts next year. Celt's have the right to swap picks with the Nets next year. They also have Nets 2018 1st, as well as 2019 1sts from clips and grizzlies.

OK with those many picks I think it could happen too, didn't know they have that many.
The Lakers already have D'Angelo Russell though.. but yeah they could probably trade him for another piece if Westbrook signs with them.
A little off topic, but my 13-year-old son and his friends went to the Jazz-Sixers summer league game and Boston played the other game. Jaylen Brown signed autographs and mingled with all of the kids for a long time. They couldn't say enough good things about Jaylen. Ben Simmons wanted nothing to do with anyone, didn't sign any autographs, and didn't even look at the kids hoping to meet him. Boston probably just won over some fans due to Jaylen. Two of my son's friends are among the best in the state at basketball and probably a lock for college scholarships. Afterwards we talked and their dissapointment with Simmons was pretty strong. The experience probably brought home the importance of respecting the fans and the game.
