What does the GSW trade do for the draft pick they owe us?

What does this mean to the jazz? (Can vote for multiple answers)

If Bogut and Curry stay healthy this makes them a lot better.

Ellis is sorta lik Melo and Jefferson. They take away from good team play. Bogut is an excellent team player.

I liked all the options so I picked them all

After looking at the above poll results I conclude that we (collectively) have no ****ing clue what this does to our pick.

GS has 28 games left. March doesn’t look that bad, but in April they have a lot of road games. Here are the approximate head starts it has on these teams. Jackson better kill it! (I posted this on the other thread, but this is fresher). If they can stay above Detroit, we should be ok.

Milwaukee (3.5)
NY (3.5)
Cleveland (3.5)
Detroit (6.5)
Sacramento (7)
Toronto (7.5)
New Jersey (8.5)
New Orleans (13)
Washington (14)
Charlotte (18)

Where did you get those numbers? EVen if you calculated solely on the loss column, Sacramento only has 6 more losses (not counting tonight's game), as does Detroit.

BTW, you add the games ahead in the win column plus the games ahead in the loss column and divide by 2 to calculate "games back." If you only do it based on losses, you're assuming the team with fewer games played will win ALL those games, which is clearly not the case - especially when talking about teams playing at a .400 clip. Currently GS has a 4 1/2 game lead over Sacramento and 4 game lead over Detroit. Let's hope the Warriors can play a solid 4th quarter against Sacramento. Crap...I hope I didn't just jinx them.

I did becasue I was not aware he was out.
Well, he's out until AT LEAST April with a back injury and some reports have said he's likely done for the season. In any case, he'd be so out of shape if/when he's cleared to play that there's little chance the W's would bring him in for just a few games.

I was looking at some of the number too. And I think Golden State has a chance at giving us there pick

What do you think GlassEater

The derivative of x2, with respect to x, is 2x. However, suppose we write x2 as the sum of x x's, and then take the derivative:

Let f(x) = x + x + ... + x (x times)

Then f'(x) = d/dx[x + x + ... + x] (x times)
= d/dx[x] + d/dx[x] + ... + d/dx[x] (x times)
= 1 + 1 + ... + 1 (x times)
= x

This argument appears to show that the derivative of x2, with respect to x, is actually x. Where is the fallacy?
