What Free Agents Do You Like?

Lol at ute fans constantly bringing up/crying about jimmer

Jimmer gets coverage more for ute fans than byu fans tbh

Back on topic from the Jimmer love/hate-fest (btw - I'm an Aggie, so it's funny to watch the bitching back and forth)

- if the Jazz plan to stick at #5 and end up drafting Aaron Gordon, the Luol Deng is immediately my top target. Former All-Star, quiet leader, glue guy with both offense and defense. He's slowing down, but he's exactly the kind of professional example that I want working with AG and the rest of our young guys on a daily basis. Try to keep his contract around 3 years, so you can turn the reigns over to AG when he's ready, but getting Deng makes the team better in both the short term and the long term.

If the Jazz didn't suck so much at making shots I don't think anyone would even talk about "He Who Must Not Be Named".

Let's face it, we need help in just about every way. I would rather fill the roster with players that can shoot and defend.
Not going to happen. We will need some specialists for the bench that can do something beneficial, whether that be defend, shoot, or break people's legs with a baseball bat.
We need something.

It would be nice if we could get Deng and don't care who he takes minutes from. At this point I'm less worried about playing time for the young players and more worried about winning.
They can earn their playing time. If they play better than the competition, they can be on the floor.

Yeah, I'm kind of tired of the playing time excuse. If you want to play, be better. Pretty simple stuff.

Which is why I actually think that competition and depth are more important to the Jazz than most teams. Their best bet on winning is to hope that the players they draft develop into star players. This past year should have been about learning about the young guys and taking chances, but Ty Corbin just seems so risk-adverse that it wasn't going to happen.

I'm very excited to see how they respond to a new coach. I'd like it to be an experienced, detail oriented guy who can still teach a young team. If he takes risks this year, I'm fine with that because it should help him better understand what his players can or cannot do. This is a 4 or 5 year plan in year 2. They won't be playoff bound by next year, but hopefully the year after.
