The team's implicated in these threads, obviously... They'll be on the clock in 220 days selecting thru these finite pools of players that the league has set eligibility parameters for. they'll be on the clock again in 585 days, then again in 950 days.... you'd have to be quite short-sighted not to recognize that.
You may have noticed the Warriors are pretty good.. Some people like to look ahead.. for reinforcements
Some fan bases like the Nets don't have any draft picks to hope for.. So I'd go as far as calling OP a spoiled, ungrateful Jazz fan, the FO has certainly made acquiring picks in these drafts a priority, shouldn't that tell ya something? They helped facilitate Iguodala to Golden State in-part to add a pick in 2017..
I only bump the threads when there's something on-topic to post, usually it's something that I think will stand the test of time...
The draftee's threads get veered off course at times, as big threads infested with trolls with multiple accounts tend to do, These admins on this site wish to manipulate higher posts counts by playing devils advocate, if its not the admins, their certainly enabling/encouraging this behavior, because there's obviously trolls here who need multiple accounts to try and make their point.
I'm not impressed, its what people do on forums. I'm quite aware, surely it generates buku bucks.. The threads get back on topic though, there's a nonstop stream of news about this type of ****.
These lames wanna keep kicking up dust to try and outwit me, Their logic isn't nearly as strong as mine. These threads are how I flex on these devil's advocate playing lames. Semantics aren't worth more than a keen eye in this arena. sorry cunning linguists, your not proficient like me on these topics, you don't put in the work to even come close.. Thats just the facts.
It's certainly better to have all those topics centralized somewhere rather than homer fans making thread after thread about their favorite players, like the Aaron Gordon brigade of years ago, everyone claiming this guy and that guy was better than Wiggins, now that's unforced, natural comedy, People say stupid things they really believe, Like "Bobby Portis is the best PF in the draft"..
To an outsider it might seem like plenty of back and forth bickering but there's really many more dimensions than even whats being discussed, those threads do 1,000's of pages but just scratch the surface on certain subjects. Sometimes a single poster is the only one to mention something prudent.. It's not really not a boring topic at all, If you don't think so thats fine.
The 2019 thread was created because Marvin Bagley is really damn good at playing basketball, and I figured a basketball forum is a good place to post that. Forgive me. The ramifications of landing Bagley on the Jazz would be earth-shattering in basketball terms, but I guess to some people they don't see that, until its days, or weeks away.
The 2020 one was created because many major sports media outlets featured Chol Marial and his mixtape which got a ton of views in just a few days.. I bumped the thread because of Charles Bassey who's going to definitely be in the NBA, he seems to have a one-of-a-kind story too, he appears to be a star pupil of the Giants of Africa organization, started by the Raptors current GM back in the 90's..
If somehow the Jazz could get their hands on these type of players, It could be franchise changing.
It's a polarizing topic, and there's plenty of depth and minor battle-ground topics, teams throw out smoke-signals, there's chicanery involved .. Just look at how many views/comments the threads get..
Players like Rudy, Dante, Trey Burke, Trey Lyles, Rodney Hood were discussed plenty before those picks were made.Lames were exposed in the process, their still bitter and plotting revenge.
