What was the Very First Web Site You Have Visited?

Heh, I printed out the entire faq for the alt.language.usage Usenet newsgroup. About 60 pages in small point font. Used it for bathroom reading for a good long time...

I think it was Yahoo. I needed email and signed up for it on Yahoo. After that I visited NBA.com for sure.

I remember going to my friends house and he would try random websites like boobs.com etc.

i did a report on Minnesota the state and back in the day google wasn't used or well known so I would try "minnesota.com" "minnesotathestate.gov" or just some random combinations and hope a website showed up that was useful.

They've had search engines long before Google! Altavista anyone?!

Does Prodigy count? I used to chat about the Jazz way back in the day on that. The first .com? Probably some porn site or Mormon.org.

Like my mom and dad, I'm still a kid to you guys no matter how old I get. Netscape was the first one I have used in school's terminal in a Windows os. Before that it was all Prince of Persia and Wolfenstein in my dad's pc on DOS.

Do you mean which bulletin board I used to frequent using my modem, which would cut off if I got a phone call?

Does that count as a website?
