What's new

What ya grubbin n sippin on today?

I'm keeping it simple.
Burgers and dogs on the grill while watching the kids swim all day.
A few beers throughout the day, but nothing too much.

Thanks to all active, retired, and military lost.

i am grubbing on some cultural apropiation food.

i went and conquered it from a culture like a BOSS

masalla/curry chicken!

TAKE THAT FOREIGN CULTURE, I JUST STOLE SOMETHING OF YOU!

BUT THAT'S SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM! what bro? come at me!

Plugged me some quail in the fields an caught some browns in the stream an then caught a largemouth an a big ol hog of a catfish probably 8 of 9 lbs. I'm gonna bread that think in cornmeal an fry it up over the fire.

Probably gonna marinate the quail an deliver them uncooked to a neighbor farmer. Probably some catfish and the bass to. Hell probably give em to his Mexican workers which I think is cool.

I like to use the bones for broth so tomorrow is gonna be bird, beef, an fish bone broth over the fire with noodles an carrots an leftover meat an green bell peppers. I don't shop much but them bell peppers were four for a dollar at Smiths.

So far I have had some strawberries, a banana, an English muffin with butter and honey on it, a protein shake, and a meatball sub. Just water and some milk to drink.

Going camping this week. Took the week off for my babies first bithday!

I got out of work at 6pm instead of the usual 10:30pm and stopped at Doner Kebab Express on 78th S and 26th W.

It was a very awkward experience. Their menu is super super simple. You can get chicken or beef, either on a sandwich, on a sandwich with rice or fries and a drink, or in a meal (meat is lose, no sandwich) with salad or grilled vegetables and rice or fries.

They had to clarify my order several times and it took them kind of a long time to prepare it. I was the only one in there and it didn't look like anyone else had been in there recently. Maybe Memorial day just isn't the day for doner kebab in West Jordan. I want to believe it was an off day and if I tried it again it would be better, but I just doubt I'll bring myself to give it another shot. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good.

But on the bright side, I'm home early and I'm sippin' on some YES. First batch made with RO water. I have another batch made without RO water and comparing them side-by-side, they are very very close, but the RO water batch is a little better.

Flat iron steak on the grill, Homemade baked beans, grapes, carrots, chips and salsa, water and grape Gatorade. I way over ate, but it's my cheat meal, and I cycled this morning so I was in a calorie deficit(that's my story).

T-bones with vegetable shish kabobs. We always love chips and guacamole too. I'm thinking fajitas tonight with all the leftover veggies and maybe coleslaw on the side if I can talk the wife and kids into trying it. Weird combo, I know, but I hate to see food go to waste.

One time I had a bunch of extra pulled pork and coleslaw. Put it on a pizza and smoked it. Ended up tasting pretty good.

Smokin' coleslaw... So that's what the kids are calling it these days.
