I’m a little less for this deal after thinking about it though. I think there are two kinds of max players... those that give more/substantially more value or the ones that get the max because they are worth much more than 10-15 M per year but require a premium to get them in or retain them. Gordon is likely in the second group. I don’t know that he definitely grows into that and could go sideways like Wiggins.

If we get max guys they have to be worth it... if not we are better off trying to get value in FAs with less name value.

Why is it a “poisonous max deal” for Orlando, but not Utah?

Get me Jimmy Butler, and I’m all in on adding a 3rd star.

I think he’s a supercharged version of what Hayward would be if he’d stayed and would fit the team perfectly. Given his frustrations in Chicago and Minnesota, I think Utah is a perfect place for him to land in, and so think Quin would unlock MVP potential in him.

Other than that, I’d push to keep Favors and Exum, then look to upgrade Burks, Jerebko, Sefalosha and Neto. If not, I keep them all for one more year.

Cuz if they don’t accommodate... he can sign with someone else and add in player options and trade kickers.
 
Curious if the pelicans want Mirotic and Cousins. A real stretch 4 might just be the best addition to the Jazz.

Cuz those other hot girls think you have a big *****. Otherwise why would the hot girl be dating you? And Mitchell has shown he's got a huge ***** and a pair of that don't shrivel up in the biggest moments.

Sure, it's Utah. But not everyone can play for GS, LA, Houston or Boston. Another huge factor is that Mitchell isn't selfish. Neither is Rubio or Ingles. The Jazz have room for another 20pt/per scorer.
