I'ma bigtime Danny McBride fan so I've got high hopes for this new one. They Live is my favorite alien movie for sure, it's definitely not my preferred sub-genre in Sci-fi. I'm not big into horror that relies on lighting and suspense and things popping up, it's all shock value ****. (I do jump tho), I prefer stuff thats slow-roasted and reliant on quality writing(not saying Alien isn't - I haven't seen it in a long time)
I prefer the art which inspired Alien. Check the documentary out I recommended on the last page from HR Giger.

In that doc he explains how the studio made him change the way the eggs look because it too closely resembled something sexual.
The last installment in the Aliens franchise was not a horror movie as much as it was a religious and evolutionary conversation. I highly recommend it. Prometheus.
Moon, which O>D recommended is a def top 10 sci-fi movie for me.
A bunch of the movies you named on your list are far from sci-fi movies. Science is simply touched upon to varying degrees.
