I broke this down in Lauri thread and Lauri has 2nd team chances... albeit could be excluded completely..

I think Giannis, Tatum and Randle are ahead.

Depends on how media values Butler and Siakam and the barely 50 game guys (Kawhi, Lebron).

KD doesnt qualify with just 42 games, and I assume Embiid and Sabonis are voted as centers.
 
How does All-NBA honors affect Lauri’s contract extension with the Jazz? I’m definitely rooting for him to get it, even though I know it’ll cost the team more to retain him when he does.

My guess is Ja and Don. Booker has highest PPG but least games.

Forward is thinner because of injuries to so many key guys... but Lauri is still more of a stretch to make it.

I doubt Ja gets selected.

I think Lauri is a lock to get selected at least 3rd team with a chance at 2nd team.
 
Kawhi/Durant/LeBron won’t make any due to games played in my opinion. I think Lauri is a lock at forward along with Giannis, Tatum, Randle, Butler and the final one may go to Siakam or JJJ if Brown is counted as a guard if not it will go to Brown.

I would give him 1st team, but it's not up to us. It is up to the powers that be, and he just doesn't have the legacy or media-grabbing exploits or the winning team they are looking for. I am not the one making that call, I am just pointing out the reality of it all.

C- Embiid
F- Giannis
F- Tatum
G- SGA
G- Luka

2nd team
C- Jokic
F-Randle
F- Jaren Jackson
G- Curry
G- Lillard

3rd team
C- Sabonis
F- Jimmy Butler
F- Lauri
G- Fox
G- Mitchell

It’s not like the jazz are 15 games under 500 and he’s the only Allstar caliber player on the team. Mitchell has much more help.

No way he goes over KD, maybe if he only played a third of the games. He’s played exactly half. He’ll go over Lauri 100%.

I disagree on Durant and LBJ. I think they are locks… well for sure LBJ. I’m pretty confident Durant gets in the nba still kisses the ground he walks on and I think Leonard still has a shot. Guys like Markkanen tend to get overlooked even if he is a great nba story and guys take note of it. Guys like Durant and LBJ carry a ton of weight with the sportswriters.
