This isn’t a skill team. It’s a if-you-could-win-a-championship-who-would-you-want-to-do-it-with-team. Rules are you only get 12 spots. Each position needs two players. Then you get two random spots. Positions are only marginally flexible. For instance, Korver could be a 2/3, Favors could be a 4/5, Okur can go 4/5, but Millsap can’t be a 3, Deron can’t be a SG, Jarron Collins can’t be a SG (sorry), etc. You can choose coaching staff and executives.

Candidates are any Jazz player ever. And Tomic.

I deleted mine for not following rules, maybe I'll try again later.

Also those are odd examples outside of Collins of players that can't play other positions. Millsap played the 3 for the Jazz for a decent amount of minutes. Dwill would be a fine SG and got some minutes there.

I’ll let people debate that and if there’s a consensus people can change the rules. I mean, hell, it’s not like I’m sitting here excluding posts from a tally.

Do I start my favorite guys? I'm going with yes.

Rubio
Burks
Ingles
AK47
Favors

Stockton
Korver
Royce
Thurl
Ostertag

Neto
Joe Johnson

Players I like and I think could win. With a few players that are there because I really like them.

Stockton/Ronnie Price
Mitchell/Pistol
Ingles/Bryon
Favors/Bojan
Gobert/Okur

+Exum and Truck

I don't really care who the coach is. Probably not Sloan though, he was a great coach but I don't want him screaming at this team. I guess Snyder if it has to be a jazz coach. I'll be the GM but just for the paycheck and good seats not for my skills. Tonic, Antoine Carr, and Johnnie bryant can be assistants. Sloan can be assistant GM he can sit by me at the games.

No Malone in either of those. Interesting.

So this is basically who are your 12 favorite jazz players. Ok.

No Malone in either of those. Interesting.
He is the best player in Jazz history to me. But he would go on my list of people players I would prefer didn't win a chip. Not, that I didn't want jazz to win when there are here. But players I don't like for various reasons I don't think he was a decent human. I'm sure there's more but that team is:

Fisher
Hayward
Korver
Malone
Ostertag

For a legit chance I think you gotta go:
Stockton
Mitchell
Hayward
Malone
Gobert.
That’s some damn good offense and defense. I’d ride that team straight to a championship. Interestingly enough, I feel like their usage rates would be pretty accurate. Stockton was about setting others up, he could defer to Mitchell and Malone. Gobert would do his normal thing, and Hayward is built to be the supporting star on a good team anyways so it’s perfect.

backups would be the ultimate feel good/ inspire confidence in humanity team. Namely:

Conley
Clarkson
Ingles
Millsap
Favors

support: Rubio/ Demare Carroll

Stock/ Donovan
DWill/ horny/ Griff
Ak47/ AD
Karl/ memo
Rudy/ Dfav/ Dawkins

I imagine this team having that "everybody hugging Stockton type celebration" from our first trip to the Finals. I picked the guys who seemed to play with those most joy and the hardest despite their skill level.

PG Stockton
SG Donovan
SF Jingles
PF Karl
C Okur
Favors
Millsap
Antoine Carr "Big Dawg"
"Buckets" O'Neale
Matt Harpring
Bryon Russell
Hornacek

It would give me so much joy to see the 12 guys above shooting champagne on each other in the locker room.

Great thread by the way.
