Why wouldn't you start Trey Burke?

First thought was author was retarded.... then I read this

Dude is a genius. He must only watch college basketball though and have a distorted view of Burke.

Tony Jones asked the author of the article if he had watched any full Jazz games.

The guy responded "No"

Holy ****.

this guy probably thinks Rudy should be demoted back to the bench due to low offensive production and the superstar Enes Kanter brought back to start.
That's just it. He loves the Rudy move and complements the team but Exum is a waste in his mind.

He might be trolling with the "no" response, I can't tell.
He's trolling.

He must be taking some heavy medication before he watches Jazz games. He and fish must be related.

Apparently the author of that decided to just ignore the defensive impact that Exum had on a team known for its defensive identity. I don't know how some of these people actually get paid to write this crap.
Yes, I thought these paragraphs were particularly stupid...

Why is Exum starting? Because his “upside” is higher than Burke’s? What about his production? Upside is what got*Hasheem Thabeet,*Nikoloz Tskitishvili*and*Darko Milicic*chances*in the league.

A lack of production is what all got them out.

Dennis Lindsey has done a masterful job when it comes to assembling this roster. Finding gems such as*Rudy Gobert*andRodney Hood*in the draft has been his speciality. It seems like Exum has been forced fed into the starting role because management doesn’t want to look like they made a mistake by drafting a bust at No. 5.

Second crap article I read today... good thing I'm practicing my Evelyn Woods reading skills... not worth putting in 'comprehension' gear. Hard to admit, but this article on starting Burke was the worst of the two...

Maybe because I went to Michigan, but I am rooting for Burke. I think we all should be. He is a member of the Jazz. We should want him to do well. If he does well, the Jazz di better. Exum is a unique player with the size and skill to be what Shaun Livingston should have become pre knee injury. 6'5"-plus PGs are rare and Exum should be Utah's star PG of the future and hopefully turn into a leader, all star, and guy worthy of a max deal. Burke should be the best back-up PG in the league, who doesn't make mistakes with the ball, can be clutch, and lead what will hopefully be the best young second unit in the game. He should also be given a shot to compete for the starting job during camp, as that will make Exum work harder and get better.

Couldn't the same thing be said about drafting Burke?

If Burke simply narrowed down his shot selection to only take shots in the final seconds of a close game, he'd be shooting 80% FG for his career. That is what he does well...that is how you use him.

Problem is, without his inefficient chucking, there wouldn't be too many close games. Those 3-15 performances give the other team a chance to compete.
