This has been mentioned a million times over the last couple of days.
My favorite part of this is the Celtics pulling Hayward aside and saying, "Gordon, we really want you to trust us on this. What we are going to do AFTER you sign is go out and get Paul George. I know that we have half the team that plays your position, and that we were unwilling to spend assets BEFORE you signed, but trust us, we are above board on this. But, what we need you to do right now is go out there and completely screw your previous team, teammates, and fans. THEN we will demonstrate to you how far our commitment to you and surrounding you with "win now" talent goes. Trust us."
Don't shoot the messenger. It's a new story from someone with slightly more credibility than Bleacher Report.
Or "Hey Gordon, we can acquire another superstar to play with you at the snap of a finger. Or if you prefer, we can keep the team mostly intact at the top of the Eastern conference while also positioning our young guys to peak during the decline of LeBron."
The young guys in question also being small forwards.
