Would you be happy with a Knight/Fredette draft combo?

I've read through some of the comments, and they are fair, but I do not believe that many of you are giving Knight credit as a shooting guard. It's not a similar situation to Rubio/Flynn. He can play either the 1 or the 2, and some of you have expressed concerns about his ball-handling ability because of the TO avg. he had at Kentucky. If so, then you can give him an opportunity to get better by not forcing him to handle the ball the whole time by allowing he and Jimmer to play off each other.

I based my question on some mock drafts saying that Utah will take Knight AND THEN Klay Thompson (Washington St.) would be the #12 pick [I have also seen some say Alec Burks (Colorado)]. Just my opinion, but I would rather have Knight at the 2-spot over Thompson/Burks, and I would also rather take a chance with Jimmer over these Thompson/Burks. Derrick Williams will not be available at #3 overall, but Kanter should. That would be the most powerful argument against this, but Jefferson and Favors are both young, and you can better fill a future need by drafting two guards. If any of the mocks are correct about the Jazz taking two guards, then give me Knight/Fredette instead of Knight/Thompson or Knight/Burks.

I see now way Knight plays the 2 in the NBA other than spot minutes like D-Will did. So I think it is very much like the Minny thing. Just say not to Kahn
 
I have a feeling the jazz are going to grab Thompson at 12 he is rising up boards and being compared to Reggie miller. The jazz like to keep things quite and we have not heard a peep about Thompson. His skill set is perfect forr our system and I think he will be the surprise pick. You know one is comming that we did not expect.
 
After watching the NBA Finals it is definitely possible to have Knight play 2 guard. Jason Terry did it against Dwayne Wade of all people and prevailed. The only problem is that the PG would have to be a smart defensive player (ala Kidd) which Jimmer isn't and will most likely never be.
 
i would be OK with drafting zero PGs in this draft. no way do i want two of them.

we could definitely use a "PG of the future" since i think most agree that devin isn't it. but in the immediate term we have so many bigger needs, like rebounding and a horribly SG rotation.

BPA, but no way do they select two PGs.

I don't really think rebounding is that big of an issue for us right now. Adding Favors really solidified our rebounding. Our biggest need is for another wing, then PG.

2009-10: 4th in overall rebound rate, 5th in defensive rebound rate
2010-11: 23rd in overall rebound rate, 27th in defensive rebound rate

it's an issue.
 
and for the record, derrick favors' RR as a rookie was 16.0, less than jefferson's and more than millsap's, but hardly elite. so while he does a decent job, the jazz can't rely on him to do all the dirty work. if jefferson and millsap aren't going to go after the basketball like they're capable of (career low rebr for paul, second lowest for al), then favors' performance isn't going to matter and we aren't going to generate the possession advantage that elite rebounding teams have.
