I'd trade Hayward and Marvin for Harden. There is no chance either will be better than Harden ever. I would very happily trade Hayward and Sap for Harden if OKC was willing, and I'd probably take on Perkins if it was a dealbreaker.

you've lost your mind trade our only two decent sf's for Harden who in a year or two won't be any better then Hayward, and is nearly the same player as Hayward. Good playmakers not go to scorers. I haven't seen the stats but I have a feeling the second years for both players are similar.

I don't even know where to start.

Then drop it.

Done. Outside of Favors, there's almost no trade for Harden that doesn't work.

as of the time of this post, 7 people need to get their ****ing heads examined.

I'll take the billshelby side of this.

The only real difference that I can see is the outside shot.

If I remember correctly didn't Harden enter the draft after his Junior season? If that is true then we should be very happy with what we have on our hands. Burks is younger and is the better athlete of the two. I love Harden but let's not go overboard yet. I'm sure if Burks gets the same type of playing time that Harden did early on he will likely produce similar numbers.

I've been a bit scared of harden since his disappearance in the finals!!

Great point. The DAL/OKC series Harden looked every bit the part of a go-to scorer. As the playoffs went on he was less and less impressive. Good yes, but not as impressive. That is a legit worry if I'm about to offer someone the max.

This. I don't care how good Hayward, Burks or Kanter can be. Harden is a proven & legit talent. He's young. He can go to the rim, can shoot it, can make plays.

A future pairing of Favors & Harden would just make me p**ed my pants.

Harden is a great player, but he's overrated, IMO. He gets to the rim, and can shoot from the outside, but has virtually ZERO mid range game. That's a pretty serious hole for me. Miami totally exploited this aspect of his game, and look what happened; he didn't just randomly die in the Finals, Miami saw a major hole in his game, and forced him to play to it. What I'm trying to say is he's not a first option for a contender, IMO, like many of you seem to be alluding to.

I'm also higher on Kanter than most these days (really don't get this...people's impatience will never cease to amaze me).

Having said all that, I'm not totally sure where I stand on this trade. But, the idea that it's a "no-brainer" seems a tad silly to me.

You know, I kind of spaced that. He did disappear didn't he? That is a bit of concern actually. I wonder if it's just because he is young or it's something he is going to be.
