That might be true. But that is a stupid way to build a team.
Maybe... but it is how we roll.

I agree, but is Kyrie by himself better than Russell and whoever else they might be able to get alongside Russell (not to mention Kyrie will be paid much more money in a cap year)? I also think Kyrie is a cancer and not much of a winner, so, yeah, I don't know. Seems like out of all the guys on the FA market this year, that's the guy you put lowest on the max list for them.
Also, 1st rounders are only valuable when they become good players, and that is highly tied to the position of the 1st and a ton of luck. I doubt a likely-rebuilding team is parting with a top-10 pick for Dinwiddie, and if it's not that, it's a light-year from equal-value.

On the Dinwiddie front... if they let Russell go and brought Kyrie there is still room for Dinwiddie. They wouldn't have to move him for a pick... could move him for a win now player if they wanted... just think if they decided to move him they'd have like 20 solid offers because of contract, unique skillset, and willingness to come off the bench.

The Jazz front office is bound and determined to pick up a shooter or two as they know that will take them to the next level. We don't want no head cases or ISO dummies, we need SHOOTERS, plain and simple. They are out there somewhere.
We don't need shooters. We have shooters. We need a shot creator. Someone other than just Donovan who can create his own shot off of the dribble. That will force the defense into more difficult positions and give our shooters better looks.
Sorry man, but you're way off here. If the Jazz were a good shooting team, they would've beaten the Rockets in 6 games or less. This is totally ignoring that we have been perpetually having a conversation about the perilous lack of spacing in the starting lineup for two seasons now.We don't need shooters. We have shooters. This is a medium reward/low risk move potentially but I think it'd be worth taking a flyer on Isaiah Thomas as a 3rd string guard in the offseason too. Worst case he's busted and warms the bench with Exum's corpse, best case we get a spark plug offense guy off the bench next season.
There's obviously plenty of other moves to do before this but I think it'd be a nice icing on the cake type move at the end of an offseason.

Who are our shooters?
I'm about 80% convinced that Tobias Harris is coming to the Jazz after seeing what is going down in Philly. While part of me says "Great! Bring it!" another part thinks he isn't really our greatest need. I'm pretty sure I would rather have Jimmy Butler (if that were an option.)
I think it's all going to come down to weather or not Philly is willing to offer him the 5 year max, if they do I don't think he'll turn it down.
