Hood a better player than Hayward

If Hood didn't play in the Shadow of Jabari Parker, he would have been a more notable college player and a higher pick.

Uhhh, maybe or maybe not. He didn't play in Parker's shadow at MSU and no one was talking about him being a 1st round pick (other than me).

dont u guys think i am a better troll than this guy? it is an art. not everyone can just go to art school and become a troll hipster. you gotta be born with this talent. the trollin gene.

I still think you were better as HH. You need to step up your game son.

Were you Saxon / RedandBlackAttack on the old forums 15 years ago?

Y'all do remember this gays name was KOC BEGONE back in the day. Some gays just don't grow up and work at McDonald's all their life for a career... And troll on jazzfanzzz.

HeavenHood would be a great name change. He could still keep the "HH" for short.

AS for Hood, there MIGHT be an argument in 2 years for keeping Rodney at his rookie salary and then maybe a reasonable deal over Gordon at $20M+. Just depends on who we could draft/sign to be the other starter. I'd go hard after DMC this summer.

The thing about Hood is that he has a lot of confidence along with good skills, which should take him a long way. But he is nowhere near Hayward, yet.

Why not just keep Hayward and hood?

I admittedly knew very little (i.e. anything, really) about Hood before we drafted him but seeing he put up some impressive numbers at Duke and seeing some highlights I thought he could be a pretty good guy in the starting lineup for floor spacing. I've been surprised by his ability to score in more ways than being a one- or two-trick-pony. He's got a smooth shot from deep and his ability to actually have a midrange game and get closer to the basket for 5-10 footers is impressive. I think he'll fit the system well and, unless we can land a legit star, I think it'd be better for our financial future to pencil him in rather than overpay for a Mathews or whatnot.

Why over pay for a role player? We moved on after Dwill, AK, Boozer, etc. I'm pretty sure Hayward doesnt hold a candle to players that we have had in the past who are now gone. There is an unhealthy view of this particular role player. Hood is a better player it just is going to take time for this group to catch up.

Hood commands orgasms with his stare alone and scratches foot itches at the same time, while doing the dishes and laundry and forcing the grass to not grow more than 3/4 inches. Hood causes weather that washes and waxes your vehicles, poisons David Locke into a comma, makes beer's wife stfu and obey, de-ages Jerry, Stock, Malone, and D-Will, and raises Larry from the grave. Hood started the church of every church of, is the reason the NBA created a 3 point line, that EJ Wells didn't visit the moon, and that Cavs foolishly traded Wiggins for K-Love.

Give us a comet. I want to kill myself so I can join Rodney Hood on top of it.

What the hell are you talking about? I presume you're responding to me as you quoted my post. However, I was commenting on Hood and literally said nothing of Hayward. I guess while you're enamored with the idea of talking about Hayward, I guess I'll go ahead an indulge your false dichotomy:

If I'm not mistaken, we have Hayward for another three years. A lot can happen in three years. The only people in this franchise who were around three years ago were Hayward, Favors and Evans. Three years ago Golden State was .348. Three years ago New York was in the playoffs. Three years ago Jason Collins was straight. A lot of stuff can happen between then and now. I stated not to lock up anyone who's not a legit star -- that was my point. What was yours? And before you answer, again remember that Hayward's contract status isn't an issue for three years -- 3 years! -- so getting riled up now about whether or not we'll overpay, underpay, or compensate him in Bitcoins is rather premature.

Hood's good. He does a lot with the ball. Hayward's good, he also does a lot with the ball. Our team's quite offensively challenged. These guys are mutually exclusive for the next three years, again, why?

What happened to you...

Yes, I hope we do. but Hayward can opt out in another 2 years. He may not want to return. Or he may ask for $25M. Gordon's a very good player. But he's not a superstar. He disappears at times when the Jazz really need him to step up. So if the Jazz can find better ways to spend that $20M+ he'll want, then it's great to continue to have options.

You pay Hayward what he wants. We can't lose him.
