What's new

College Basketball '14-15......

Wisconsin is the NCAA version of the 2014 Spurs. 5 players that can live on the perimeter. The hub of their offense being a bigman who can shoot, dribble, and pass. Plenty of dribble penetration and spacing. Great swingman with height and defense with lengthy range.

Spurs buzz-sawed the talented Heat. Wisconsin will buzz-saw UK if they play.

Peeks, your response?

Dude, what the hell? Bosh and Lebron are both elite inside the paint. Towns, best case scenario, will be AS GOOD as Chris Bosh when he hits the NBA. Get real, brudda.

Bosh is elite defending the paint? Really? He is kind of stretch 4 now and to be honest allergic to paint. Was averaging less than 6 rebounds in playoffs for the Heat last year - that is poor paint presence.

seriously.

I am disappointed in both Dalamon and UGLI.

These guys I consider friends and a bit beyond obnoxious trolling. I would be pulling for the Utes or Oilers in reverse. No doubt. Just as I did during the last Ute game, or even for Michigan when bluenote was a passing thing on this board.

I admit it seems juvenile that the trolling persists even when I assume (maybe wrongfully) these guys know how much this mean to me. A lot.

I guess I am disappointed based on how I would be reacting. Guarantee.. roles reversed, I would be a bandwagon friend with my true friends.

so call the wahbulance.. see if I care.

Look brudda, if you were a booster of some random team like Wisconsin, I'd be rooting hard for you.

Unfortunately, i'm a Commie at heart. I don't like having one team dominate an entire sport. U going 40-0 represents everything I hate about sports and life, and that goes deeper than my friendship with you. It's how the cookie crumbles.

If the Utes had 8 championships and were going for 9 and they were 38-0 you bet your *** I'd be going hard against them. Unless I was a Ute fan, or something.

We all start from nothing. 0-0

Why hate those that do what it takes?
Why hate those that scratch and claw to be #1?

Probably the most underrated defending big in the NBA. Did Miami ever post a below-average defense since he's been there?

well, I respectfully disagree - IMHO Bosh is the most overrated fake All-star ever. Wish him well to recover from his health issues but never liked him as player, never will.
He is good at flopping though

I am appalled, tbh.

Your parents escaped a life for something better.. and not just ONCE. They have laid their lives down for you and your brothers. And you shake your head at those that have also worked hard and laid their lives down? Rich.

And I'm not kidding. I hope u never forget your roots and the blessings when you make it.

We all start from nothing.

No we don't. Especially not in college ball. We all have different starting points. Kudos to Calipari for revamping that school's ball program, but we dont all start from nothing. It's much easier to root for a team of cast-offs that no one believed in than a roster full of 1st round draft picks. Rootin for Zach Auguste, a dude who will probably never make the league is insanely ****ing easy. 80% of UK's roster will make the NBA, honestly. Tempers my sadness for them.

You hate em cuz it's fun. They have the spotlight, an annoyingly entitled fanbase, and all of ESPN blowing them.

The rich aren't the only ones who work hard. My dad works twice as hard as me and my older brother put-together-- yet we will both make way more money than him over the course of our lives.

And I'm not kidding. I hope u never forget your roots and the blessings when you make it.

I will never forget my blessings, nor my upbringing. I will never forget the opportunities I was given to have class mobility, to go from eating home-made bread & margarine every day at school, wearing my cousins clothes to where I am/and will be.

I will remember having a government in place that rewarded me for my handwork in school by not drowning me in tuition payments, offering me student loans, never bankrupting my family with medical bills, and allowing us to pull our family forward.

Spy just has a boner for every athletic team/player ever. I swear.
Wut.

Who on UK is even that athletic? WCS is the only great athlete on the team. I like Towns, but he's an averageish athlete.

I've been more down on Winslow than most who is a great athlete.

I like prospects that aren't athletic like Kaminsky and Trey.

I thought that Wisconsin would beat Arizona.

You're bringing up an ad hominem strawman that is neither remotely true nor relevant.

Dal going in on PKM

I don't mean to. We all have our perspectives, and our worldview is generally shaped around our experiences that have moved us through our time in this earth.

I just really ****ing hate this stigma that people on the left-wing are lazy. My brother hauled *** to get the job that he did. They only kept one summer student for permanent employment, out of 200 that applied (and 2 that got the job). He puts up over 60 hours of work a week.

I constantly fight with myself to work harder, to push myself in front of others. I've had phone conversations with Peeks about this-- my biggest fear is that maybe I have another gear of work ethic that I haven't yet tapped into, and maybe it'll limit me from goals I want to achieve.

However, hard work with no opportunity is nothing. Everyday I see people who work harder than me, but have less secure futures than me. Having cheaper schooling means that you get a ****load of lazy students-- sure. However, it also makes sure that you don't rob the opportunity of maybe granting someone in this world, someone who doesn't have the best support structure within their family alone, to go out there and change the world with their hard work & talent. That is what it's all about. Granting all an opportunity-- it's a principle that your nation was founded upon, and it's a principle that vanishes as the schism in socioeconomic inequality widens.

WCS can take on Kaminsky alone (wherever he is on the floor) while Towns protects the paint. At least that's how I would initially approach guarding him to start the game.

I like UK's chances of defending Kaminsky better than Wisky's chances of defending Towns.

It should be a great game, and I could see it going either way, but give some credit to UK; they're not undefeated for no reason.

Maybe you are right on WCS, but if he gets in foul trouble early.....

Did I miss a post or something?

Thought we was discussing how much UK sucks and stuff?
