As an average, I think your claim in bold is correct, but March has also seen some pretty questionable performances form Hayward.
Last game, he shot 37% for 13 pts, but did shoot 50% from deep.
vs OKC he shot 25% and 0% from three.
vs GSW he shot 23% and 25% from three for 11 pts.
and on Feb 28th before March started he shot 22% and 20% from three vs the Bucks.
So while his March #'s averaged out to not be troublesome, his consistency has been. The way I see it anyways.
Don't forget he's been battling injuries in that period. He's been pretty banged up in the last month or so by the way he plays in general and forces himself into the paint. He's currently top 5 in the league by FTA only behind Westbrook, Harden, Cousins and Lebron. He's actually been missing some wide open shots in the last month that he was hitting before. I think he's just in a minor shooting slump. I haven't noticed his game being changed all that much in that period.
