Bring Jimmer to Jazz

Honestly, this sounds like me to some degree back in 2011. It pains me to say it but I was completely wrong about Jimmer's NBA prospects. I could go into a ton of details about why but most of you already realize the same thing.

I am officially against giving him a chance to play in Utah because he would be a huge distraction from what we now have going on with this young, defensive-minded team. He would be an awful fit in so many ways. I sincerely wish him the best of luck and hope that he works harder on his defensive game. Because without it, he'll be retired in less than two seasons.

Actually, Utah now has a team that could cover for Jimmer's defensive liabilities, and he could be useful as a situational player in very limited minutes, as we could always use shooters. However, the distraction alone just wouldn't be worth it. No way is Utah going to have a bunch of Jimmer fans chanting to put him in all game long. Any of those fans who showed up and cheered Jimmer against the Jazz can thank themselves for killing any chances he ever had of playing in Utah.

I kind of feel bad for Jimmer. He was such a bright star in college, had a couldn't miss shot with crazy range, played with energy, did seemingly a bit of it all. Then just a total dud in the NBA. I would be ok with him for a 12-13th man kind of spot. But this is not unprecedented. There have been more than a few players that dominate in college and just can't hack it in the NBA.

I'd rather keep Evans. He rides the bench with a smile, performs when asked to step on the court, and represented the Jazz in allstar contest, and won. Jimmer... we just don't need him. Our system would better compliment Raul Neto. In-fact when I watch Raul play, he reminds me a lot of Stockton, his poise and understanding, effort all without complaining. He just plays hard and helps his team, action speaks louder than words.

What a great GM the OP would make. We'd be the best marketed team in the league. We should run DL out of town on a rail, grab Jimmer and Stock Jr., sign all of Karl's kids, and then hire Jerry's daughter to coach. I can't believe nobody thought of this before. Also, we ought to play 4 on 5 defense while leaving one guy back to cherry pick.
