Honestly, this sounds like me to some degree back in 2011. It pains me to say it but I was completely wrong about Jimmer's NBA prospects. I could go into a ton of details about why but most of you already realize the same thing.
I am officially against giving him a chance to play in Utah because he would be a huge distraction from what we now have going on with this young, defensive-minded team. He would be an awful fit in so many ways. I sincerely wish him the best of luck and hope that he works harder on his defensive game. Because without it, he'll be retired in less than two seasons.
Actually, Utah now has a team that could cover for Jimmer's defensive liabilities, and he could be useful as a situational player in very limited minutes, as we could always use shooters. However, the distraction alone just wouldn't be worth it. No way is Utah going to have a bunch of Jimmer fans chanting to put him in all game long. Any of those fans who showed up and cheered Jimmer against the Jazz can thank themselves for killing any chances he ever had of playing in Utah.
