2015 NBA Playoffs

Good thing kyrie had all that playoff experience that granted him the mystical powers to be able to play well today.
 
Damn I can't wait till next year when we can watch the jazz in the playoffs

He played Boston, a team with a losing record. Not exactly typical playoff opponent. No game vs Boston is a real playoff game.
 
If Cavs are going all the way Kyrie is going to have lots of games like that. He's a good offensive player and the Cavs offense is pretty ridiculous. Not surprising for him to have a huge game. They are a difficult team to defend.

Is golden state a real playoff team? I heard they even have a good defense.
Brow did pretty good.

Lebron went to the finals with zero playoff experience.

I'm of the opinion that great players can play great in the playoffs without having any experience.
Happens all the time. Most everyone in the nba have played so much basketball in pressure situations since they were little kids. If you are a great player then you I think you can handle the spotlight usually. (Of course there are exceptions)
 
Memphis is my horse in these playoffs. Not even close

I think that playoff experience can definitely be helpful and often is, but I just find it funny that some people think that it's necessary to have been there before to play good in the playoffs.

I was watching the Cleveland game and the announcers constantly brought up how amazing it was that kyrie played so well in his FIRST playoff game.
I was not surprised even a little bit. Kyrie was the #1 pick, rookie of the year, three time all star, all star mvp, has the two highest scoring games this year, and is one of the best scorers in league. I'm not at all surprised that he would be able to score in the playoffs. He is a fantastic scorer.

I guess we will see. 1 game isn't a playoff series. We will see how they stand up to coaching adjustments and such.

My point was simply that players can play good in the playoffs without any experience...... and its not uncommon.

Lebron didn't win just one game when he first went to the playoffs.

Leonard didn't have a lot of nba experience, much less a lot of playoff experience.... yet he was the finals mvp.

We don't need to wait and see. It's already happened a bunch in the past..... yet the myth that experience in the playoffs is necessary persists

It's not a myth. Players do better with more playoff experience.

Leonard had 35 games started in the playoffs before entering last years playoffs, so idk what you mean by not having a lot of playoff experience.
