Game Of Thrones

Is something bad bound to happen to Sansa Stark?

Boy, I hope I'm ready... :(

So far this season, there has been lots of manoeuvrings of the show's main characters, but not a lot of action.

That's set to change, says Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy.

"There's something that happens about halfway through this season that is really going to make huge waves. And people aren't going to be happy about it. It's hard to watch," Alfie told website Zap2it.

"I bear witness to this thing, and it's crazy, sort of having to portray how messed up everyone's situation is through my own reactions to what happens," he added.

"Get ready for it."

Allen also hinted that Greyjoy's character is about to undergo a makeover.

"I would go so far as to say maybe Ramsay Bolton is the new Joffrey in town, and then probably me followed closely after that."

Can't believe we're already 1/3 of the way through the season.

Then we have to wait 1 more year. ONE. MORE. YEAR. !!!!

Maybe the issues in Mereen will finally tell Daenerys it is time to take her dragons and go conquer the rest of Westeros like she is supposed to be doing.

Very good season so far. Episode 3 has been my favorite so far. Still, maybe the best opening episodes to a GOT season so far. Really excited to see what happens in the second half.

I have a new favorite thing to hate that he does regularly in the books. It has gotten worse as the books progressed (late in book 4 now). When he has characters say "coz" in reference to their cousins. I hear them in some kind of jive tone, "say, cuz". Irritating.

Hopefully there will be lots of dragons coming up. I did see the next episode preview had them.

Somehow i do not think that Daenerys will ever marry the nobleman. Isnt she supposed to be fighting her way over to Westeros to reclaim the Iron throne? Why would she marry a nobleman from Merreen. A little tired of this storyline.

This thread has been pretty slow this season. Is everyone kind of ho hum on the series this year?

Not really a whole lot of big events so far. Looks like they are saving them all for the end of the season which is half over already. I hope we get to see the big battle in Winterfell this season.

That would be something!

As someone who has read the books I'm really interested to see where this season goes. I'm already pretty confused half the time, feeling like I need to reread the series to make sure I'm not just forgetting stuff.

I have not read the books, but apparently the books and the series are really starting to diverge and the series itself is getting ahead of the books. One of the recaps said the books have not even gotten Stanis to Winterfell yet.

I've been wanting to ask my fellow book readers some questions about this season but don't want to spoil anything. But I'll just say books 4 and 5 didn't move the story very far. GRRM is more obsessed with creating the GOT universe than developing characters and story lines, imho. I really don't have very high hopes for what we'll get in book 6. He might finally resolve a few things that were hanging at the conclusion of book three.

Luckily it seems the show runners are going to fill some of the gaps and get characters from point A to point B with a few dozen fewer stops along the way. That's a good thing.

iawtp. I just finished book 4. Really hope 5 picks up a bit.

edit: and Cersei is an idiot. I think GRRM did her a disservice and made her so stupid and heavy handed it took me right out of the books. I knew exactly where it was going. He wrote it like a kid setting up cards and you know the only reason the kid is doing it is to knock them down.
