Following potential 2015 draftees

He didn't spot up that much from 3. Interesting thing to note is that his %s from 3 jumped once he DECREASED the number of 3s he took. First two years he was shooting 5-6 attempts per 40 mins and shot 29% and 31%. In his third year he got more playing time/maybe he could get in better rhythm, but he shot less frequently at 3.8 attempts per 40 and shot 37%, then lowered them to 3.1 attempts this year and shot 41%.

The thing I absolutely agree with you about is that his passing and high IQ in offense gives me a great hope he will be a great player for us.

I think it's an improvement and rythym thing. He scored a lot of points by pump faking and driving... He probably should just shoot it more but the drive would limit how hard guys could close out.

He's a 78% free throw shooter... Not phenomenal but strong. I think its safe to say he can shoot. Hopefully with some coaching he'll increase the frequency of the threes. Even if he doesn't it's the threat of the three that is the constant benefit. Just like the blocked shot doesn't happen every play for Gobert but knowing he's there is a constant issue for the other team.

There are a few options that will likely be available that I'd probably take over Kaminsky, but I'd be cautiously optimistic if we took him.

Honestly I'd be interested in moving down getting a future first. I'm also interested in The two bigger pg's Grant and Wright. Both would be great fits with Q's system. If the Jazz don't go that route, then I find it hard to believe a prospect better then Kaminsky will be available at the Jazz 12th. Hell.. I wonder sometimes if Kaminsky will be gone by then.

I was psyched. TB3 looked like CP3 light in college. David Thorpe said he should go top 5 in that draft.

I was hyped! Especially since the Magic were legitimately considering him at #2. If I remember right he was #1 on the JazzFanz Draft Big Board.

I'd rather cash in on the assets that we already have and get the guy we want.

Nearly everyone on this board felt nearly the same way. I can only think of about 3 other people besides myself who didn't like it.

I can't tell you exactly why I didn't like him. I'm also not saying that I'm some sort of perfect evaluator of talent either.

What I am saying is that sick feeling I got when the trade was unofficially announced is the same feeling I get when I think about the Jazz drafting Frank at 12. I'd be happy with him much lower (like the early 20's) but there are too many other players I personally would rather see the team gamble on rather than settling for Frank.

Yes, if the Jazz draft Frank at 12 then I believe they are settling, the same way the settled for Trey.

As much as people were celebrating Trey Burke's long clutch jumpers in college, it was at the same time an indication that he wasn't able to create a better opportunity for himself or teammates in key situations. I didn't like some of the shots he took, but I thought he'd be able to perform better with NBA spacing.

The funny thing is that Trey Burke's biggest problem seems to be shooting. That's how he's really been hurting the team.

I disagree. I think his biggest problem is shooting too much.

He also slows the offense so way down.
He's also a defensive liability who likes to point fingers.

I was pretty happy about it. My gut said he was a little too slow for his size, and it turned out to be true. But its his unforseen bad shooting that might ultimately have him fighting to stay in the NBA.

What are we not seeing with Frank then? I honestly want to know. I'm just not the least bit excited about him. I honestly feel it might be a wasted pick.

Good shooting 7 footers don't grow on trees. Great passer... Fantastic nickname. Go watch the DX video. Did you watch the tournament? He was pretty great in the tourney.

Also he had a 35 PER... That's really high.
