Phil Jackson is quaking, I am sure.
Sloan is the least of this team's issues. I am glad if he really wants to come back. With the kind of flawed personnel that we have I cant think of any other coach who could get this team going beyond where Sloan has taken them.
Hornacek, Giricek and Korver were all designated shooters that we traded for. I dont believe that for a moment.
Many teams (and a majority of elite ones) have more than two or three players that can hit 3s at a good percentage consistently.
Well, Miles, Bell and Okur were supposed to be those 3 players for us. It is more of personnel not living up to it than anything to do with Sloan.
2 years back, we had Korver and Okur shooting well from the 3-pt land and Deron was'nt so bad either. Those were your three players who could space up the floor a bit. Not quite Orlando Magic-esque but not too bad. I think some of the moves made since then have resulted in players who are either past their prime(Bell, although he seems to be getting it back) or are just not up to it(Miles) or are injured(Memo)
Can someone explain how it's Slones fault we have no shooters. Last I heard he wasn't KOC. It's not like KOC. hasn't tried it just doesn't always work out like Mo Almond and others.
> 3 shooters was me being conservative. This team AT MOST has 5 shooters. That's with Memo playing like an all-star and healthy, Miles playing consistently well, Hayward not being terrified 80% of the time AND hitting shots at a level of competition he previously never has, Deron playing like he should and usually is, and Bell being way better than he has been as a whole. On a good night, this team has two shooters show up. That's not cutting it.
Your argument is usually putting all fault on FO and ownership (and subsequently players), but now you're seemingly defending it as it's a proxy to defending Sloan. Which makes sense, because my point is that Sloan is basically the front-office executive. He has more veto power than probably any coach in this league. And the roster has not been adequately stocked with shooters basically since the finals years. I think on that point, almost all of us can agree. Whose fault that is is hard to say, but I don't think someone with as much power as Sloan has with this franchise is free from blame.

The Sloan love on here makes fans forget his shoort comings. .
Much like how the Sloan hate here makes some people take for granted what Sloan brings to his job everyday
