Sucks for him. Going from #2 overall when the college season started to probably undrafted if his injury is serious. I was never a fan of him, but maybe he'd be a decent undrafted pick-up.
Unpopular opinion: I'd be very wary drafting Winslow in the top 5 or 6. He has a decent set shot, but I don't know if he can develop much of an offensive game. His handles are so-so and he resorted to bullying people in the paint in college which he wouldn't be able to do at the next level. The tournament raised his stock more than I thought it would.
I also don't think D'Angelo Russell is as sure a thing as other people think. People are saying Brandon Roy/James Harden/Steph Curry, but I see more of a higher IQ/better passing, streaky Jamal Crawford type. He can shoot, dribble, and pass, but I just wonder if he can put those tools together to effectively break down defenses with his dribbling and passing, or hit pull-up jumpers to open up the other parts of his game. He definitely has a very high upside and I'm sure if he goes to the 76ers and they let him put up 15 shots per game he can put up some great stats, but I don't know if it will eventually translate to winning games.
I like winslow a lot. I went to the duke tourney game against gonzaga and he was the best player on the court. The thing that doesnt really show up on tv is the degree of difficulty his shots are when he goes to the hoop. There were a couple layups he made that he positioned so well off the backboard it made me take note. Hes highly skilled and really athletic.
I dont think dangelo is harden either. Hes not strong enough. I think hes a 6'5" lillard with better court vision.
