Following potential 2015 draftees

He'll no.

Favors looks pretty damn good now. Towns is still a maybe. And that sets us back like 4 years because we have to wait for him to hopefully develop a game as good as Favors
Towns is so much better than Favors was at the same stage. Post moves, jump shot, passing... it's all much more natural to Towns, imo. Especially passing. He could be the best passing big man in the NBA.

It doesn't take every big as long as Favors to develop. I'd be really surprised if Towns wasn't averaging 15 ppg as a sophomore. Trading Favors for Towns would put us back maybe 2 years (not 4), imo, but we'd be better off in the long run.

If you were the Wolves GM would you trade Towns for Favors and #12?

The answer is getting rid of Burke and the position of traditional (backup) PG altogether and distribute the minutes/opportunities for better players/prospects. The Jazz are loaded with ballhandlers that are actually good, why make your life harder just to subscribe to conventional and flawed logic?
Quin can figure out something magical.

I have a lot of faith in Quin.

If the Jazz make a fair offer, they *should* be able to move up to 9 for either Johnson or Turner.

Another poster proposed something like this some pages back. It does make a ton of sense and would be an easier deal than getting to 8.

Charlotte gets Booker and a future pick. Maybe we help them by taking some salary.

Martin is a last 1st according to DX.

Jones is a late teens next year according to DX.

Mickey is the 32nd pick according to DX.

Kennedy Meeks projects as the 23rd pick next year according to DX.

So yeah, those are NBA talent level guys.

If you add Lyles, WCS, Johnson, and KAT, he played against 8 total NBA caliber big men his sophomore season.

Portis had 2 games vs UK and went 15/8 in one of them.

Not sure if they're smokescreening, but it is entirely possible that Oubre gets picked ahead of Johnson. Think I might have called that.

If this is true and Indiana goes for Payne, then either Turner or Johnson will slip to 12.

NBADraft.net updated their board and has us taking Dekker, Tokoto & VCU's Graham.

Tokoto is seriously a unique player - a 6'5 athletic forward who gets assists but can't shoot free-throws. He also gets steals and can hit the 3. No clue who one can compare him to.

???? I struggle to see what it is that Oubre does that's better than Johnson.
