You mean an all-NCAA type upperclassman with final 4 heroics and a reputation for being a shooter far greater than what is reality? Dekker got a couple more points per game, Padgett was far better from 3 point land and they both averaged 5 rbs a game. Both played on teams with really good players to take the pressure off. They both play a bit soft at 6'9". Padgett barely made it into the first round. What exactly separates Dekker on a whole 'nother level above Padgett? Also, Padgett had a 7 year career, so he wasn't exactly a bust, especially considering where he was drafted.
 
Vezenkov just had another great game in Greek league playoffs(games for 3d place) - 23pts(7/13 FG, 2/4 3pFG, 7/8 FT), 9rbs in 32 mins of play. His team is tied 1:1 in the battle for 3d place. Memphis VP of Basketball Operations John Hollinger was there to watch him for third time according to reports. I wonder if they are considering drafting him at 25... They sure can use some shooting and playmaking off the bench. I still hope he drops to the second round and we can draft and stash him.

You've got that backwards. Hunter is a good shooter but he's not elite and he doesn't bring that much else. Not a comp but he is closer to Stauskas than he is to Curry. I think he struggles as a backup SG and ultimately won't play very many minutes.

Wright will be a solid backup PG in his rookie season. He is better than Burke and although his ceiling is lower he is better than Exum is right now.

I don't think he's Kyle Korver... doesn't have the quickness and I don't think he's that level of shooter. There really isn't a good comp for him because usually players that are that limited athletically don't make it in the league, but also he's more skilled, smart and crafty than a lot of the players that don't make it due to athleticism limitations. For example, with his length and athleticism he shouldn't be a good rebounder, yet his box-out technique, anticipation and timing allows him to be above average rebounder. His lack of quickness should make him strictly catch and shoot guy, yet his IQ and precision on attacking closeouts allows him to beat people off the dribble and either pull up for mid-range shots or go to the rim. He also has a knack for leak outs on fast break and he has the smarts and feel for the game to allow him to move well off the ball and make great cuts to the basket.

He's one of the weirdest prospects to evaluate simply because you never know how far his smarts and craftiness will take him and how much his lack of athleticism and quickness will limit him on the next level. At some point you would assume he'd just not be able to overcome his limitations, but that point hasn't come yet - he's excelled against pretty much any level of competition he's faced, and that includes elite European teams. Will the NBA level be too much? I have no idea... I think he's worth taking a chance on in the second round.

I think it's quite possible. I doubt there are many occasions where the consensus top-10 actually went in the top-10. There is always one or two teams that take "their guy" a couple of spots before he is projected to go. Hell, Orlando took Aaron Gordon at #4 last year when the consensus top-4 was Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum.

There will be atleast one or two top-10 guys available at #12, my guess would probably be Turner or Kaminsky. Three of the guys I think who could be taken earlier than expected are Payne, Booker, and Looney.

He's very Ingles'ish don't you think? He will soon be a better shooter than Ingles, but that's still just a bench player. I guess at 42 he would be above average value.

A bit, yah... but I don't know if you've seen Ingles when he's in shape... he's more bouncy and quick... I'd be interested to see in what shape he returns to the Jazz this season(hopefully we resign him). Even now he's better defensively, I wouldn't even say he's bad defensively, Vezenkov is quite bad. On the other hand Vezenkov's shot is much better and much quicker. They are kind of polar opposites when it comes to mechanics. Vezenkov's is clean and quick one motion shot, Ingles is a 2 motion shot with a hitch and a huge wind-up. They are both very crafty and skilled players with pretty high basketball IQ. I see the comparison, but still think it's not a perfect one.
